Main Theme Unveiling Chiang MaiChiang Mai is a subject of the workshop. In this workshop, the city will be looked at andinvestigated through four different point of views (sub-theme), which will provide more informationand more complete view on the city. The four sub-themes are: City of Tradition, City of

Transformation, City of Infusion, and City of Emergence.

In this workshop, the city will be looked at and investigated through 4 different point ofview which provide more information and a more complete view of the city.

The 4 sub-themes are: City of Infusion, City of Transformation, City of Tradition, and City ofEmergence.

Tasks: You are assigned to work in 4 groupseach has approximately 10 students, comprising 2 from Kyoto, 4-5 from Hue and 4-5 from ChiangMai.August 1st-2nd you will be surveying the 4 sitesAugust 3rd-4th Brainstorming

August 5th Present you findings and provide some views, guidelines and/orsuggestion

Expected output: You are required to provide insights about your site according to theobjectives set for them. These insights are expected to include

+ an overview site analysis of the area+ a more detailed spatial analysis of a specific area in your site or a whole site+ a proposal of how the site should be considered, integrated and developed.

The proposal should include some sketch design ideas, a site plan and perspectivesof the proposed design for the area. The conclusion should summarize how Chiang Mai can benefitfrom the work of your group.
