Work Integrated Learning (WIL) allows industry and universities to work together to develop Australia’s future workforce. WIL is now best practice in many parts of the world in a wide range of industries.

PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE - INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS Open up your organisation to capable bilingual students who bring high calibre skills and an international perspective to your organisation.

Professional Practice programs prepare international students to find work in Australia. Students are available for placements from all disciplines, with a particular focus in engineering and accounting fields. All students have full working rights in Australia and placements can be paid or unpaid with liability covered by UOW.

Students are available for placement during semester and semester breaks.

The program promotes, supports and develops quality work experience for the benefit of postgraduate international students, organisations and the local economy.

Talk to Kim, one of our International Careers Consultants: [email protected] or (02) 4221 1448 for more information.

LUCY MENTORING PROGRAM - LAW STUDENTS Share your expertise and experience with a student whose ambition is to work in your field.

The Lucy Mentoring Program inspires, motivates and educates women about the opportunities available in private law firms, public sector agencies and major corporations both in the Illawarra and Sydney.

Mentors work with a competitively selected undergraduate student in their penultimate or final year of their law degree. If you can commit 35 hours to supporting a student while they complete a work-based activity, and provide networking and careers advice we can individually match you with a student and provide the framework for working effectively together.

Contact Michele, our Faculty of Law, Humanities and the Arts Career Consultant for more information: (02) 4221 3582 or [email protected]
