If you are as yet to do so, please remember that these contributions support our students across the school, and enable your child to participate in the learning programs offered by the school. Show Your Heart Day Thank you to all our families who recently supported the Show Your Heart Day. The school received a thank you letter from the charity for the donation of $603.25 to support children with heart conditions. School Uniform and Hats Students are expected to wear the correct school uniform which includes their school hat each day. We would strongly recommend that parents write names and classes into student hats, as then they can often be quickly returned if lost. Public and student safety We have had several concerned parents note that some members of the public are not following the basic road rules, when dropping and collecting their children from school. We kindly request that parents take great care when driving near the school in the morning and the afternoons, as young children are crossing roads and moving into the school. Parents are required to follow the road rules at all times, and need to avoid behaviours which could compromise student safety as they approach the school. Parents need to be vigilant as their children approach the school, and if you are parked across the road, walking your child/ren across the road is a safer option. Please be aware that the council rangers do patrol school zones and areas. When using the Kiss and Drop Zone, drivers should move to the front of the designated area to drop off / collect students, rather than stopping in the middle of the zone. Please take great care as a motorist in and around Asquith Public School. Update Your Schoolbag Groups Now Could all parents please update their Skoolbag user groups for 2019. You will need to subscribe to new groups that are relevant to your child/children such as class, grade, PSSA, choir, band, dance etc. You will miss important reminders and notes, if you are not subscribed to the relevant groups.
