Software remap andperformance exhaust
AmD’s racing partner, CobraSportExhausts, has recently released anumber of exhaust systems toenhance the Corsa E VXR 1.6
litre turbo. These systems include a cat-back exhaust configuration with theoption of a resonated or non-resonated centre section, or a full turbo back exhaust system witheither a high flow sports catalyst or de-cat front section to complete the turbo back system.
The CobraSport T304 stainless steel exhausts feature a 3” (76.2mm) bore and mandrel bentpipework to improve flow and reduce weight.
The combination of the exhaust’s smoother gas flow and reduced weight provides improvedperformance but with the addition of an AmD software remap the new system really comes into itsown and, due to increased efficiency, the combination creates more power than just the sum ofthe gains that would be achieved by the exhaust and software added together.

Spray carpet glue is pretty useful stuff in the home, and you mightthink it’s equally useful in the car for fixing carpets, upholstery,headlinings, etc.
Unfortunately, the first time you leave your newly trimmed car outin the sun you’ll find out why domestic spray carpet glue isn’tsuitable. The temperatures reached in a car in sunshine will makethe spray glue ‘let go’ and all of the new trim will peel or fall off.

Protects C7 Corvettes from losing power from overheated engine oil
The new C7 Corvette has one design flaw that can easily send it in to limp mode with reducedpower. The engine cooler and oil filter are located in close proximity to the catalytic converter.Thus heat from the catalytic converter can cause the engine oil to overheat, signaling the ECMto reduce power and go in to limp-home mode.
DEI now offer a new thermal control solution with the introduction of the C7 Catalytic ConverterHeat Shield. The shield has been designed to prevent oil temperature from rising by blockingheat transfer at the source. This shield is a quick, easy and cost effective solution to prevent aloss of power and driveability.
The shield features a dual layer design which has been tested and proven to reduce thechance of heat soak through the addition of two extra layers of thermal protection. An innerlayer material, that is 89% silica, blocks heat from the converter. This is bound with DEI’sproprietary Titanium outer layer material which keeps engine oil within acceptable ECM heatlimits. A free Locking Tie Tool and four 20” stainless steel locking ties are provided to hold theshield in place thereby ensuring long lasting, durable insurance against power loss.

The four cylinder Porsche 912 was produced between1965 and 1969 as their entry-level model and becameone of the most famous and successful sports cars ofall time. The Targa version (Porsche's patented variationof a cabriolet) ran from December 1966 (Series A) andwas upgraded to a hard window Targa in 1968 (SeriesB). Mini Spares Baulk RingTo original Rover spec - Pre 2000
Mini Spares has just released a newbaulk ring.
These special baulk rings are CNCgrooved and precision machined forconcentricity. They use the original typefixings to ensure that the correct areasreceive heat treatment. They are similar tothe pre 2000 Genuine Rover product inperformance and reliability and are better and cheaper than the later Rover product whichproved to be unreliable in service.
This type of baulk (synchro) ring has essentially been the same since 1962 with the onlychange being a move from steel to sintered. The rings slow down the gears to ensure thatthey mesh without crashing and have a friction surface that is the first thing to engage withthe next gear when shifting. The height that the ring sits proud of the cone surface indicatesthe degree of wear; however, the common sense approach is to replace them at the firstsign of wear. The rings are sold individually. Order as 22G2033EVO. Retail price £13.98(17,78 €) inc vat each. Four are required per car.

Mini Spares is now offering newcompetition lightweight flywheels inEN24 alloy for race motors.
The flywheels weigh in at just 3.6kg andare available as inertia starterand pre-engaged starter versions.
EN24 has better wear and shockresistance than EN8 which can fret onthe crankshaft of highly tuned raceengines.
The EN8 alloy which is widely used onflywheels is only a medium strengthcarbon steel but is easier to machine and is suitable for most applications. EN24 is morestable as it is a high strength alloy steel (nickel, chromium and molybdenum) and providesthe extra strength margin for extreme use situations.
These ultra-light Mini flywheels incorporate the latest refinement by being madesymmetrically they reduce the harmonic vibrations that were common on earlier versions(those with just three large lightening slots)- but the new version still weighs in at onlyabout 8lbs in weight
