Precise cost allocations Introduced to v4.1 are new price list item Cost Types to work alongside the existing options of Material, Labour and Non-Stock, which has been significantly developed to become the core Type to facilitate seamless integration across the system. Now you can specify a Part as a Resource - for example, a Machine - or an Outsourced Part, such as powder coating, creative work or any other sub-contractor activity or third party process.

All types are logically processed depending on their Type, allowing you to easily Purchase to demand and keep track of your stock.

This allows you to include and view costs against jobs broken down by Cost Type, which will empower you to make calculated decisions on purchasing, production and future pricing of similar items.

New SFDC v1.1 puts you in control The new web-based Shop Floor Data Collection (SFDC) software has the ability to start multiple tasks at the same time using the new Batch Update feature.

For example, this is ideal for artwork and design workers who tend to start a batch of work or when making a group of jobs using the same materials. The finish times are accurately proportioned across the tasks as they are completed as a group or individually.

In the new version you can also enter the Actual Material Usage against a job. This allows you to specify if the quantity used was different to that on your original estimate and if a different size was ultimately used.

Pastel, Sage & QuickBooks Links As with Clarity, upgrading to the latest version of your accounting system is essential in taking advantage of more robust stability and security, whilst providing you with a whole new range of useful features and enhancements to benefit from. In v4.1 of Clarity we now support integration with Pastel Partner, Sage 50 2012 and QuickBooks 2011 (Pro, Premier & Enterprise editions).

The Job Costing & Cost Analysis module in Clarity Professional v4.1 has been completely re-written and delivers absolute precision on Estimated vs Actual Costs, including stunning Pie Chart views.

The new module allows for easy filtering of jobs by many fields such as Customer and/or Job Type, and Pie Charts are generated split by Cost Type, showing Estimated vs Actual costs on a much clearer display for easy interpretation.

Time Sheets and Expenses can be added so that all costs are entered and analysed in one place.

Sage 200 import feature Several users of Clarity have requested the ability to export information from Clarity to import into Sage 200. Within v4.1 we have successfully developed a new function to create a CSV export file to carry purchase invoice and sales invoice information into Sage 200.
