A“UserAccountControl”popupwillappear.Press“Yes”tocontinuewithdriverinstallation

Select“Installprinterdrivers”andthenpress“Next”

ConnecttheprinterviaUSBcabletoyourcomputerandopenit.

Thiswindowwillautomaticallyappearaftertheprinterisopened.Select“InstalladriverforaPlugandPlayprinter”andpress“Next”

Press“Next”

Press“Finish”

Press“Install”

Nowtheprinterisinstalledsuccessfully.Press“Close”tocompletesetup.

UpgradingFirmware

Open“DevicesandPrinters”from“ControlPanel”,findTSCAlpha-3R,rightclickonitandclick“Properties”

Open“Tools”tab,thenin“Printer”section,click“Action”buttonandthenselect“SendFileToPrinter”

Adialogwillappear,select“AllFiles(*.*)”fromrightbottomcornerandopen[YourDesktop]\TSCFirmwarefolder.

Select“ALPHA3R_EZC_v1.53.NEW”andthenpress“Open”

Printerwilldownloadthefirmware.Duringthistimetheredledwillblinkabout5to10secondsandthenprinterwillrestart.DONOTshutdowntheprinteroryourcomputerwhilefirmwaredownloadinprogress.YouMAYdamagetheprinter.

Tocheckifthefirmwareupdateissuccessfullycompletedopen“PrinterProperties”asshownabove.Goto“Tools”section,click“Action”buttonandthenpress“SendFileToPrinter”.

Open“[YourDesktop]\TSCFirmware”folderandselect“SELFTEST.prn”.Thenclick“Open”.

Printershouldprintaselftestpageasshownabove,ifyousee“Alpha-3RVersion:1.53EZC”ontopoftheprintedpage,thenfirmwareupgradeissuccessfullycompleted.
