OVERALL LAWN APPLICATION

Special Precautions To Reduce Risk To Birds Birds, especially waterfowl (ducks and geese), feeding or drinking on treated areas may be killed. To reduce risks to birds: 1. Do not treat areas larger than 15,000 sq. ft. 2. Because of the migratory habits of certain waterfowl, do not apply in Nassau County,

New York between November 1 and May 20. 3. Do not exceed maximum pennitted label rates, since rates above those recommended

significantly increase potential hazards to birds, especially waterfowl. 4. Avoid overlapping treated areas. 5. Follow all watering instructions included within the directions for use, however, stop

watering before puddling occurs. 6. Do not apply this product to sites occupied by waterfowl or to sites within 75 ft. of any

body of water that may attract waterfowl, such as lakes or ponds. 7. Ifit is necessary to repeat application, wait a minimum of 3 weeks between

applications. Make no more than 4 applications per year.

LAWN SPOT TREATMENT Ants: Apply I Y. teaspoons ofHi-Yield® 5% Diazinon Insect Killer Granules over and around each ant hill.

Fire Ants: To aid in the control of fire ants in home lawns and other outdoor home recreation areas, apply Y. cup over, and 2 ft. around, each fire ant mound. hnmediately after application, water in thoroughly. Apply gently to avoid disturbing ants. Use of highpressure watering equipment may disturb the ants and cause migration, reducing product effectiveness. A minimum of 1 gal10n of water should be applied to each mound area. Reapply as necessary. Note: For best results, apply in cool weather, 65-80°F, or in early morning or late evening hours. Works within 24 hours. No waiting for days or weeks. Treat new mounds as they appear.

Digger wasps: Apply 1 Y, teaspoons of Hi-Yield® 5% Diazinon Insect Killer Granules in and around each nest opening. Apply at dusk when wasps are not active.

OVER.<\LL LAWN APPLICATION Special Precautions To Reduce Risk To Birds

Birds. especially waterfowl (ducks and geese), feeding or drinking on treated areas may be killed. To reduce risks to birds: 1. Do not treat areas larger than 15,000 sq. ft. 2. Because of the migratory habits of certain waterfowl, do not apply in Nassau County,

New York between November I and May 20. 3. Do not exceed maximum permitted label rates, since rates above those recommended

significantly increase potential hazards to birds, especially waterfowl. 4. Avoid overlapping treated areas. 5. Follow all watering instructions included within the directions for use, however, stop

watering before puddling occurs. 6. Do not apply this product to sites occupied by waterfowl or to sites within 75 ft. of any

body of water that may attract waterfowl, such as lakes or ponds. 7. If it is necessary to repeat application, wait a minimum of 3 weeks between

applications. Make no more than 4 applications per year.

5% Diazinon Insect Killer Granules controls certain lawn pests on both grass and dichondra lawns. Apply 5% Diazinon Insect Killer Granules with a fertilizer spreader. Refer to the tables that follow for use rates and spreader settings.

LAWN SPOT TREATMENT Ants: Apply I y, teaspoons of 5% Diazinon Insect Killer Granules over and around each ant hill.

Fire Ants: To aid in the control of fire ants in home lawns and other outdoor home recreation areas, apply 1, cup over, and 2 ft. around, each fire ant mound. Immediately after application, water in thoroughly. Apply gently to avoid disturbing ants. Use of highpressure watering equipment may disturb the ants and cause migration, reducing product effectiveness. A minimum of I gallon of water should be applied to each mound area. Reapply as necessary. Note: For best results, apply in cool weather, 65-80°F, or in early morning or late evening hours. Works within 24 hours. No waiting for days or weeks. Treat new mounds as they appear.

Digger wasps: Apply I 1, teaspoons of 5% Diazinon Insect Killer Granules in and around each nest opening. Apply at dusk when wasps are not active.

BAND TREATMENT AROUND HOUSE FOUNDATION The following pests are commonly found around or near house foundations and may enter the house:

HOME GARDENS VEGETABLES - INSECT CONTROL

Special Precautions To Reduce Risk To Birds Birds feeding on treated areas may be killed. To reduce risk to birds: 1. Thoroughly mix 5% Diazinon Insect Killer Granules into the soil during or

immediately after application. Refer to the Soil Incorporation table that follows. 2. Granules that are spilled or are visible on soil surfaces should be covered with soil or

thoroughly mixed into the soil.

5% Diazinon Insect Killer Granules controls certain garden insects on crops listed in the following tables. Apply uniformly as directed for each crop. When a range of rates is given, use the higher rate only for heavier infestations.

CAUTION. Harmful if swallowed, inhaled, or absorbed through skin. Causes moderate eye injury. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, or clothing. Food utensils such as spoons or measuring cups must not be used for food purposes after use in measuring pesticides. Do not contaminate ornamental fish ponds. Do allow children or pets on treated areas until granules have been watered into the soil and the grass or soil is dry.

If Swallowed • Call poison control center or doctor immediately for treatment advice. • Do not induce vomiting unless told to do so by a poison control

center or doctor. • Have person sip a glass of water if able to swallow. • Do not give anything by mouth to an unconscious or convulsing

person.

If Inhaled • Move victim to fresh air. • If person is not breathing, call 911 or an ambulance, then give

artificial respiration, preferably by mouth-to-mouth, if possible. • Call a poison control center or doctor for further treatment advice.

If on Skin or • Take off contaminated clothing. Clothing • Rinse skin immediately with plenty of water for 15-20 minutes.
