10/28 – We finished Section 1 of Ch. 3. Read Section 2 for tomorrow.10/29 – We discussed the Southern English colonies today and why they were founded. We went

We gave out two assignments today. #18 – A Slave’s Middle Passage and p. 54 – Olaudah Equiano. Please do the four questions on the back of #18, typed and double-spaced, incomplete sentences. On a separate sheet of paper, please do the three questions on p. 54,typed, double-spaced and in complete sentences. These are due on Monday, 11/3.

3/9 – We finished Utopias today, then Transcendentalists. We then moved on to Women’s Rightsin our reform chapter (8). We will quickly finish these reforms and planning a test soon –so be sure to be alert for that date.No Current Events this week! Be sure you have read Ch. 8.

3/11 – We did the Reforms for the Mentally Ill and the Imprisoned, Pacifism and Education today.No Current Events.No written homework tonight, but be sure to have read Ch. 8.*** We have set Friday, March 20, as the day for our Chapter 8 Test.***

3/12 – We’ve gotten all the way into our last reform – Abolition. Our instruction will be interruptedFriday, Monday and Tuesday by PARCC testing, so we will not do any new material if most ofthe class isn’t there. We will use class time to review and go over material for the test onFriday, March 20.

3/13 – Today, with the PARCC testing taking some of the class, we reviewed the reformers and theirreforms. Next week, we will finish Abolition, when the whole class is there, in preparation forthe test on Ch. 8, which will be on Friday, March 20.Have a wonderful weekend!!!!

3/16 – We are in the middle of the Abolition reform and discussed several personalities today.It turns out that most people are here and, when PARCC ends early, we get everybody – giveor take a couple who might just be absent. We have our test on Ch. 8 scheduled for Friday,March 20. There are no Current Events this week.

3/17 – We finished Chapter 8 today. We will review on Wednesday and Thursday for our test on Friday.No Current Events this week.
