1. Activities to enhance goal setting

• I CAN Statements. Ex. I can use like or dislike to make a sentence.

• Target with an arrow sticker. ==> == > == >

• Salmon the “Goal Fish”. 5🐟 ~~~~~~~~ 3 🐟 ~~~~~~~~🐟 0

• Timed game with table or team competition. Ex. 2min or 5min limits.

• Write a 正 to fulfill today’s lesson goals. Ex. 5 = 正 (maximum 5 goals)

• Write a summary at the end of each class. Ask parents initial each week.

2. Activities to enhance learning words

• Charades 哑谜游戏: one person act, class guess the word 🙊 👄 🙊• Interpretation game 翻译游戏：first 中译英, then英译中• Plus 1 game 加一游戏; extension: 1x, 2x, 3x games• Minus 1 game 减一游戏; extension: pair practice game• Fly Swatter game: two students at a time to compete 苍蝇拍游戏• Typo game 找错游戏 : find all typos in 10 seconds 📖 ✏️ 📖• Baseball game 棒球游戏: Each team get 1 point for every homerun! ⚾️

3. Activities to Enhance Learning Sentences

• Do now daily: Make a sentence 造句：每日一句

• Re-arrange / Connect to make a sentence: 排句组句游戏

• Find errors & make corrections: 句中找错并改错❌＝》✅

• Popcorn the sentence: 句子接龙

• “Thing 1” & “Thing 2” Say the opposite: 说反话

• Catch the beach ball & make a sentence with a new word: 传球造句

4. Activities to promote physical response

• Simon says game, extension: Ms. Kong says 孔老师说 ......

• Survey or Interview your classmates: 调查采访同学

• Role play with a prompt 场景角色表演

• Yes or No, Agree or Disagree, Like or Dislike wiht an action or movement

• Rhymes and hip hop Chinese: 歌谣韵律学中文

• Glee Star or Hollywood Star: students make audio or video clips 音频视频

5. Activities to enhance cultural understanding

• Music: 唱中国歌，打腰鼓，请人表演二胡，笛子，古筝，琵琶

• Art:书法，国画，水彩，剪纸，折纸，手工中国结，画卡通书

• Library:中文课外阅读有关节日，食品，体育，影视歌坛，茶文化

• Math:两 VS二，斤 VS磅，毫升 VS盎司，米 VS尺，围棋，七巧板

• PE:太极，中国舞蹈，功夫扇，跳绳，踢毽子，跳皮筋儿，拔河

• Reading:读儿童少年杂志, 报纸, 双语故事, 小说, 名著, 电影节选等
