    • Beforeyouliftorrepositionyourmonitor,itisbettertodisconnectthecablesandpowercord.Followthecorrectliftingtechniqueswhenpositioningthemonitor.Whenliftingorcarryingthemonitor,grasptheedgesofthemonitor.Donotliftthedisplaybythestandorthecord.

    • Cleaning.Turnyourmonitoroffandunplugthepowercord.Cleanthemonitorsurfacewithalint-free,non-abrasivecloth.Stubbornstainsmayberemovedwithaclothdampenedwithmildcleaner.

    • Avoidusingacleanercontainingalcoholoracetone.UseacleanerintendedforusewiththeLCD.Neverspraycleanerdirectlyonthescreen,asitmaydripinsidethemonitorandcauseanelectricshock.

    The following symptoms are normal with the monitor:• Thescreenmayflickerduringtheinitialuseduetothenatureofthefluorescent

    light.TurnoffthePowerSwitchandturnitonagaintomakesurethattheflickerdisappears.

    • Youmayfindslightlyunevenbrightnessonthescreendependingonthedesktoppatternyouuse.

    • Whenthesameimageisdisplayedforhours,anafterimageofthepreviousscreenmayremainafterswitchingtheimage.ThescreenwillrecoverslowlyoryoucanturnoffthePowerSwitchforhours.

    • Whenthescreenbecomesblackorflashes,orcannotworkanymore,contactyourdealerorservicecentertofixit.Donotrepairthescreenbyyourself!

    2.1 Assembling the monitor base

    Toassemblethemonitorbase:

    1. Havethefrontofthemonitorfacedownonatable.2. Connectthebasewiththearmaccordingtothebelowdrawing.Aclickshows

    thatthebasehasbeenconnectedsuccessfully.

    Werecommendthatyoucoverthetablesurfacewithsoftclothtopreventdamagetothemonitor.

    2.2 Adjusting the monitorForoptimalviewing,werecommendthatyoulookatthefullfaceofthe•monitor,thenadjustthemonitortotheanglethatismostcomfortableforyou.Holdthestandtopreventthemonitorfromfallingwhenyouchangeitsangle.•Youcanadjustthemonitor’sanglefrom-5˚to20˚.•

    -5˚~20˚

    Itisnormalthatthemonitorslightlyshakeswhileyouadjustthetheviewingangle.

    1. Havethefrontofthemonitorfacedownonatable.2. Removetherubbersinthefourscrewholes(Figure1).3. Useascrewdrivertoremovethetwoscrewsonthearm(Figure1),thenslide

    outthearm/basetodetachitfromthemonitor(Figure2).

    PlugtheVGA/DVIconnectortotheLCDmonitor’sVGA/DVIport.a. ConnecttheotherendoftheVGA/DVIcabletoyourcomputer'sVGA/b.DVI.

    TightenthetwoscrewstosecuretheVGA/DVIconnector.c.

    WhenbothVGAandDVIcablesareconnected,youcanchooseeitherVGAmodeorDVImodefromtheInputSelectitemofOSDfunctions.

    2. Gatherallthecableswiththecablemanagementslot.
