select the class of SMS that will be used for each SMS sent. By default, it is [4] No class:
[0] Screen: this means that the SMS sent will only be received on the screen of the
recipient's telecommunication device;
[1] Phone Memory: this means that the SMS sent will be stored in the memory of the
recipient's telecommunication device;
[2] SIM card: this means that the SMS sent will be stored in the SIM card of the
recipient's telecommunication device;
[3] Default: this means that the SMS sent will be stored in the memory designated by
default on the recipient's telecommunication device. This memory can be either the
SIM memory or that of the telecommunication device;
[4] No class: this means that the SMS sent will have no specified class.

4.3.6 HSDPA settings
The parameters of HSDPA you can modify are the following:
Device settings
Name displayed: makes it possible to change the name of HSDPA shown in WellPhone
XT. Obviously, the internal name of the device is not changed;
Voicemail number: makes it possible to dial voice mail in Dialer window after you input
voicemail number in this option.
Calls
Calls: support incoming call. After settings, you can receive incoming call from HSDPA
by WellPhone XT.
Call history
All: save all call history dialed or received by WellPhone XT
Save calls of the last n days: you can set days from 1-99.
Divert calls
You can set call divert as: Always divert, Divert if busy, Divert if not answer, Divert if out of
reach.
Enable/disable PIN code
You can set SIM PIN code status as Disable or Enable, and when you change settings, you must
input correct PIN code first. If you set SIM PIN code as Enable, every time HSDPA is detected,
you will be asked for inputting SIM PIN code first.
Note: you have only three attempts to input PIN code, after three wrong attempts, your SIM will
be blocked. It can only be unblocked with the PUK code. You will be asked for this the next time
HSDPA is detected. If the PUK code is known, the PIN code will be reset to "0000".
Change SIM PIN code
To change SIM PIN code, the following steps shown as:
Previous SIM PIN code: old PIN code of the SIM card;
New SIM PIN code: new PIN code of the SIM card;
Confirm new SIM PIN code: confirmation of the new PIN code of the SIM card.

Chapter 5 Care and maintenance you card
You can ensure reliable operation and long life of your HSDPA wireless card by adhering to
these guidelines in storage and use:
1. Do not apply adhesive labels to the HSDPA wireless card or SIM. This may cause the HSDPA
wireless card or SIM to become jammed inside the slot, or prevent it from being inserted
properly.
2. When not connected with your computer, store the HSDPA wireless card and SIM in a safe
place.
3. Protect the card from liquids, dust, and excessive heat.

Appendix Glossary
2G --second generation: Data transfer uses as much network capacity as any other call, and uses
that capacity for the duration of the connection, regardless of whether data is being transmitted at
any one moment. In contrast, the newer 3G standard is much faster for data, and only uses
network capacity when data is actively being transmitted.
3G --third generation: A new generation of wireless systems that provides high speed data
transmission (144 kbps and higher) and internet protocol (IP) based services in fixed, portable and
mobile environments.
Bps --bits per second: The actual data speed over the transmission medium. See also baud.
CDMA --Code Division Multiple Access: A wideband spread spectrum technique used in digital
cellular, personal communications services, and other wireless networks. Wide channels (1.25
MHz) are obtained through spread spectrum transmissions, thus allowing many active users to
share the same channel. Each user is assigned a unique digital code, which differentiates the
individual conversations on the same channel.
UMTS --Universal Mobile Telecommunications System: The mobile telephone system also
known as 3G for 3rd Generation. Data transfer rates of up to 2 Mbps allow video conferencing on
mobile telephones to be of similar quality to what is available for PC. Sending video from one
telephone to another should be as simple as sending an SMS.
COM: The serial communications port of a computer.
DNS --Domain Name Server: Internet server that supplies the mapping of domain names to IP
addresses.
Firmware: Software stored in ROM or EEPROM; essential programs that remain even when the
system is turned off. Firmware is easier to change than hardware but more permanent than
software stored on disk.
IP --Internet Protocol: The basic Internet transport mechanism. In CDPD it operates above the
MDLP layer. Also, an OSI layer 3 network layer protocol.
IP address: A unique address on the Internet. Each modem must have one, to operate on a packet
network. The IP address is a unique number consisting of four parts separated by dots. See also
DNS.

ISO --International Standards Organization: A standards setting group.
MHz --Mega-Hertz: One million cycles per second.
OEM -- Original Equipment Manufacturer: A company that manufactures a product and sells
it to a resellers
PCMCIA -- Personal Computer Memory Card International Association: The organization
that standardizes PC Cards
RF --Radio Frequency Roaming: A cellular subscriber is in an area where service is obtained
from a cellular service provider that is not the subscriber’s provider.
SMS --Short message services: A feature that allows users of a wireless device on a wireless
network to receive or transmit short electronic alphanumeric messages (up to 160 characters,
depending on the service provider).
WWW --World Wide Web: An Internet-based, hypertext, graphical network created by CERN
researchers in Switzerland. For more information about CERN, visit their site at www.w3.org.
