Overview: Water is needed by all living things to live. They cannot survive without water. Do you know that water is used by people in different ways? This learning material provides information to the pupils about the different uses of water. The activities given are easy to perform and by doing them, they will acquire new knowledge about the different uses of water that they could apply in their daily life.
I. Objectives
a. Enumerate ways people use water; b. Act out how people use water; and c. Appreciate the importance of water to man’s life.

III. Procedure A. Motivation
Show pictures of people using water in different ways. Let the pupils describe the pictures shown. Teaching hints: The teacher writes on the board the responses given by the pupils. (This is done to find out later whether the ideas given are correct.) B. Activity

Pictures are provided for this activity.
Cut the pictures separately (rice fields, waterfalls, people preparing food) into 7 pieces to compose a picture puzzle.
The teacher will divide the class into three groups to work on the activity cooperatively.

The teacher should accept different answers from the pupils
1. How do people use water? 2. Is water important? Why? 3. In activity 3, how is water being used? 4. What can electricity give us? 5. How can you help conserve electricity?
