The Clean Energy Research Center is working toharness Florida’s abundance of solar energy and

is part of the Florida Energy Systems Consortium.

The biomass fuels research team recently placedfourth in the world in the Dept. of Energy’s Global

Venture Challenge 2010. The project uses acatalyst that converts waste products into jet fuel.
