How to Figure OutWhat to Read Next Using
Fantastic Fiction
Fantastic Fiction is a WONDERFUL reader’s advisory tool that can help you to figure out what you might like to read next based on
your taste in authors and books you have read before that you liked.
(Don’t let the “Fantastic” in the site’s name throw you off because it is great for searching
ANY fiction genre!)
You will most likely use the author seach, book title search, or search by the 1st letter of the author’s last name.
You will also see that you have several other helpful ways to conduct your search…
…You can also search by what typeof format you want the book in!
Let’s say I want to search Diana Gabaldon (one of my favorite authors). Author’s pages have a brief bio,…
…what they will have published next (& estimated pub. date)…
…a full list of their series in the order that they were published, (with cover art thumbnails and links to a brief synopsis of what the book is about, what
editions & formats it has been published in, & how to order a copy)…
…any awards that they have won, links to websites about them/their work, and books that they recommend (with links to that book’s FF page)!…
… and a list of other authors that other people who have visited this author’s site has also searched.
Keep in mind that this is a UK website, so if a book was published under a different title there then it will list that title instead of what we may know it as, as seen here: (The title of the 1st book in this series in the U.S. was “Outlander”, not “Cross Stitch”…)
Some books will have a list of other books that are similar to them listed on their page, as shown below. THIS is, in my opinion, is where FF becomes a VERY handy
tool in helping you to find other books that fit with your reading preferences!
HAPPY READING!
