of the following types of energy in our everyday lives!!!!

2. Which type of stored energy do the following objects have?

4. Write out simple energy chains for the following devices.

5. Look at the mind map. For each type of energy give another example of where we may experience it in everyday life. Remember, they must be different to the ones on the mind map! EXTENSION TASKS Select an extension task of your choice from the ones below!

1. Choose one of the ten types of energy and make a poster about where we see examples of it and how we use it!

2. Write a poem about all of the ten types of energy!

3. Design a crossword puzzle on the subject of energy and energy transfer!

4. Imagine that you are writing an article for a science magazine aimed at very

young children about ‘The law of conservation of energy’. Write an article about this law, what it means and give examples of where we can see it in action! Include pictures to illustrate your concepts!

5. Choose any one type of energy from the mind map. Think of THREE ways that this energy is useful to humans and of three ways that it could be harmful to humans. Repeat this for all ten types of energy or until you get bored.
