Universal TransGroup Ltd. is one of the leaders of the transportation and freight forwarding services
industry and successfully renders its services from 2004. The authorized capital amounts consists 1 billion
rubles.
Universal TransGroup provides railway cargo transportation in its own railcars across the railroads in
Russia, the CIS and Baltic states. The branches are operating in Saint-Petersburg, Chelyabinsk and
Vladivostok. Representative offices are opened in Irkutsk and Novosibirsk.
Universal TransGroup enters in “Rail Garant” Transportation Group and it is the main company
accumulated transport assets of the holding.
Fleet of rolling stock of the Company consists of all-purpose railcars: box cars, universal platforms and
gondola cars and also specialized railcars: pipe carriers, cement cars, fitting cars, automobile flatcars,
platforms for transporting wood, skelp cars, hopper cars and tank-containers for transporting liquid
cargoes.
Universal TransGroup operates its diversified fleet railcars consists of 8000 units which includes its own
90 per cent of railcars. Further the company manages 1000 tank-containers which are representing highly
remunerative segment of liquid cargoes transportation.

Universal TransGroup is the company which has its own necessary technologies and transport
equipment for cargoes delivery across Russia and the CIS. Due to our experienced employees, our
modern own railway rolling stock, worked out transportation and IT technology the Company provides
reliable cargo transportation supporting of high level of Customers’ service.
We logically increase our strong points and competitive advantages: renew the rolling stock, improve
reliable of transportation, widen our own business. All these goals direct to achieve our general aim:
making our Company more powerful, leading in transport industry, to attract more Clients using our
services.
Annual results of 2008 the Company again took a place of largest Large Diameter Pipes carrier in
Russia. The Company actively realizes a plan of diversification of our rolling stock that lets us enter into
the new and perspective segments of transport market.
The main guideline of Company’s development for nearest several years will be the consolidation of
different transport assets into one united holding company, whose main aim will be the enter to 2012 in
five largest leading companies of Russian transport market and winning dominant position in industrial
cargoes transportation segment.

Due to increase in the volume of transportation and rolling stock of the Company, the Universal
TransGroup Company now has higher requirements regarding the efficiency and accuracy of the
administrative accounting, reliability of the financial information and speed of processing of the client
inquiries. There is also need for automation of the budgetary planning and control procedures.
In order to streamline the work of the Company and formalize business processes to run the railroad
transportation, the Universal TransGroup Company has introduced the corporate control system based on
Microsoft Dynamics AX.
RELIABLE INFORMATION
Our Company maintains direct contact with the JSC Russian Railways Main Information Center. We
promptly receive accurate information about location of the cars and are therefore able to provide to our
customers with the following:
•lower transportation expenses and car turnover time;
•increase in volume of shipments of finished goods with uninterrupted supply with cars;
•prompt and reliable information about location of the cars.

Possessing of considerable fleet of rolling stock lets Universal TransGroup become the Company of

In 2009 Universal TransGroup plans to hold the leadership of Large Diameter Pipes transportation
market, and also enter in ten largest carriers of large capacity containers and wheelbase vehicles in
specialized and all-purpose rolling stock.
At the end of 2008 total amount of united fleet consists of more than 8000 railcars, and let the Company
enters in TOP–10 largest private operators of rolling stock.
