Lex ington in many years occurred Sunday evening when Calvin Morgan nephew of Gen John H Morgan and one of the wealthiest and best known young men of Lexington was found lying in bed at his home with a bullet hole in his hsad while a smoking pistol lay on the pillow beside him It has been Mr Morgans custom to keep the pistol under his pillow and it is not known whether the shot was fired with suicidal intent or the pistol was accidentally discharged dur nig Mr Morgans attempt to place it under his pillow before going to sleep for the night He was unconscious when found by his mother the only other person in the house and was attracted by the sound of the pistol Mr Morgan died two hours later with out regaining consciousness Calvin Morgan was 35 years of age and was a son of Col Calvin Morgan a brother of Gen John H Morgan and who himself served with distinction throughout the war in the famous of his distinguished brother His rather died many years ago from whom young Morgan inherited an ample for tune which enabled him to be free from business cares and to gratify his tastes in whatever He had been a cripple for years from paralysis and walked with two canes but was at
