Diyar Al Muharraq, one of the leading urban developers in the Kingdom of Bahrain, announced the signing of an agreement with the BANZ Group, the

leading warehouse operator and logistics provider of choice in Bahrain, that

entails the appointment of the latter for Warehouse Management and Logistics Services for Dragon City.

The agreement was signed by the Chief Executive Officer of Diyar Al Muharraq,

Dr. Maher Al Shaer, and the Chief Executive Officer of the BANZ Group, Mr. Jason B. Smith, in the presence of officials from both companies. Under the

contractual obligations that the agreement necessitates, BANZ will

comprehensively manage the 5,000 square meter area designated for warehouses in Dragon Mall, the state of the art Chinese themed shopping centre

in Dragon City that will encompass 747 retail and wholesale units as well as provide logistics services.

Elaborating on the significance of the partnership, Chief Executive Officer of Diyar Al Muharraq, Dr. Maher Al Shaer, said: “This is an immensely significant

occasion as our partnership with the BANZ Group will effectively provide a comprehensive solution to all our warehousing and logistics needs. As Dragon

City is one of our prominent landmark projects, with warehouses being spread over an extensive 5,000 sqm area, it was imperative that we outsource our

management needs of the same to an experienced and well connected

establishment that thrives on the highest quality of work standards and immaculate work ethics and in the BANZ Group, we found all this and more. We

12 YOUNG STUDENTS FROM TAKWEEN PROGRAM TO UNDERGO INTERNSHIP AT BANZ GROUP B.S.C.

Banz Group B.S.C is constantly looking for enthusiastic interns who are passionate about their career

progression and willing to join the Banz Team. Twelve trainees have recently been accepted for receiving vocational training at Banz Group B.S.C under the "TAKWEEN" Program. Hosted by the Ministry of

Education, the program focuses on providing both academic and practical experiences related to on the job training, for secondary school students.

Jason Smith, the CEO of Banz Group B.S.C has emphasized that we are extremely pleased to work with the Ministry of Education to design a program which fulfills the internship requirements for the twelve students.

At BANZ we attempt to create a mutually beneficial experience with our Internship Program with the students gaining valuable work experience and at the same time allowing BANZ to identify suitable

candidates for future full time employment and thus continue the goal of bringing young and talented enthusiastic Bahraini Nationals to the private work force.

During the meeting with the Ministry of Education representatives, Mike Munhuwei, Chief Finance Officer (pictured) at Banz Group B.S.C made a remark regard the ministry initiative that it was a noble cause that

would be fully supported by Banz Group. He mentioned it was in the best interest of Banz Group B.S.C to identify Bahrainis at an early stage so that we could trace them to completion of their education with the

view of hiring them permanently after their college days.

Also, Group HR & Compliance Manager, Husnia Karimi (pictured) while explaining the Takween Internship

Program procedure said “Takween Internship Program is a great way to see how much potential a student has in the field. We will see their skills and knowledge as an intern and might choose to bring them on as a

future employee down the line.”

EXCELLENCE 2015 AWARD CEREMONY BANZ GROUP STAFF

On December 20, 2015, a ceremony was held by His Excellency the Minister of Labour,

Mr. Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan. He stated that this annual patronage is led by His Highness King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain and reflects His Highness’ interest

in the growing powers of National Labour and his eagerness to support their participation in the renaissance of the Kingdom of Bahrain. Pointing to the boom in quality of the Labour regulations that

strengthens the rights of workers and improves the working environment in various production sites and

ifferent industry sectors.

Yousif Ahmed Al Arees from BANZ Group and Ali Mohammed Farhan from BANZ Trading & Contracting were honored during the EXCELLENCE 2015 ceremony for their contribution on their professional

performance .

B&B Logistics is proud to announce the arrival of their two new Volvo’s. As stated by the General Manager

Mr. Charl Rossouw “ These new trucks are just the beginning as B&B starts with the implementation of our new business strategy where our key focus areas will be on change and our ability to adapt to market

conditions within the logistics sector to ensure sustainable growth for all our Stakeholders. These trucks were specifically designed to not only enhance our service delivery to our customers but they also form

part of our expansion plans where we plan to diversify our service offering within Bahrain”

BANZ GROUP—JOHNSON N.V.

Johnson N.V. is a Banz family member working as Facilities Supervisor. Johnson job required AutoCAD on

different occasions for handling projects and maintenance, he always felt hand tight that he just didn’t know it. He investigated for a long time to find the proper institute to reach his goal, the course was for

10 months, he made a lot of family sacrifices during evenings and weekends in order to be able to attend classes and study but he had the strong will and determination to reach his goal.

He has started with an Architectural drafting in AutoCAD with the basics. Gradually, it lead to Photoshop

presentation and continued to 3D modeling & ended with 3D renderings. The completion of the course

presentations. Almost at the end of the project, he approached BANZ Group COO about his

achievement in completing the course. As a reward of being initiative, the BANZ

Group CEO, CFO, & COO on behalf of BANZ Group

have reimbursed him for the course as a company support. It was a complete surprise for Johnson.

On Thursday 12 November 2015, Banz

Group successfully finalized the intensive Enterprise Development

Programme, which was devised and delivered by Mike Orlov, SteppingStone

Global.

The course was attended by 24

participants from Banz Group, Banz Geodis, Banz Operations and Banz

Trading & Contracting.

Banz Trading & Contracting organized seminar on CAPRARI pumps were Mr Guido Gianferrari (EXPORT

AREA MANAGER) introduced new range & verity of products. Attendees were from MOW, Leading contractors & consultants. Avenue was in Juffair Grand Hotel followed by the lunch.

BANZ FAMILY YEAR END GET TOGETHER

Happy New Year! Banz Group Family was given a treat to mark the end of another working year. Staff

gathered for lunch and enjoyed the gathering apart from their busy schedule.

During the event Jason B. Smith, CEO said “The New Year will bring its own mix of successes and

challenges, but our vision is clear and we know what we must do and we look forward to another productive and profitable year in 2016. Our sincere gratitude goes out to all our wonderful staff for their
