VMware Features

!  Provides a solu,on for disaster recovery protec,on of VMware ESX environments.

!  Integrated with VMware ESX – provides ―hot backups of virtual machines. There is no disrup,on to the VMs during backup.

!  Centralized control (administra,on) using Web Agent Console or Windows Agent Console.

!  You can select one or more virtual machines for backups and restores. Wildcards can be used in name filters.

!  You can restore a VM to its original loca,on, or an alternate loca,on, as a complete VM.

!  You can restore a VM as its component files to an alternate directory on disk. This allows you to recover individual VM disk files and amach them to other VMs.

Restore Capability

Internet Vault provides various ways to restore data:

Client – from the same client used to create and manage backup sets, the user can select any number of folders or files to restore

Web – using the Client Web Operator, the user can sign in from any Web-‐accessible computer and restore files to that computer

Local Vault – with a Local Vault installa4on, the customer can use the client to restore over their LAN at LAN speeds

Offline (USB) – a customer can request a USB restore to be sent overnight to their loca4on for large restores
