AuditoriumFor functions, big meetings and cultural activities a state-of-the-art audio-visual auditorium has been set up at the college. Theauditorium is sound proof, has surround-sound speakers and a multimedia projector. The teachers are encouraged to incorporatethe audio-visual medium while teaching important and difficult subjects.

Computer Science Engineering and Information TechnologyThe departments of Computer Science & Engineering and Information Technology have well qualified and experienced facultythat ably guides, motivates and trains students so that they can perform to their fullest ability and attain leadership posit ion.The department is committed to provide the high quality professional education to the students for developing human resourcewith specialized knowledge and skills and for continuously improving effectiveness of the quality management system.

The department offers excellent and well equipped air-conditionedcomputer Centre with more than 500 latest version of computers with LCD monitors. Each student is provided Intel Pentium4/Dual Core HCL brand independent system. Our computer labs are based on LAN technology which is connected to the Cat-5cable and switches. These are controlled through the HCL-NET Manager Server. The computer lab has a state-of-art applicationsoftware environment encompassing window and compiler like C, C++ etc. The student will gain knowledge as well as hands-on-experience in different software environment.

The department has separate Internet facility with dedicated 4 Mbps radio link connection which provides a vast pool ofknowledge and access to the latest literature The Internet facility is available round the clock which enables our students andfaculty members to keep in touch with the latest trends in academia and the corporate world The department is continuouslygetting and upgrading the facilities as well as infrastructure.

Electronics and Communication and Electrical EngineeringEver increasing pace of the development in electronics, audio and video communication systems and the automation in industryhave made an electronics engineer a catalyst for the change of the modern society. The department has the team of well qualifiedand experienced faculties. With the fast changing tempo of events throughout the world, it has become essential to have efficientcommunication network with the latest electronic devices and circuits. Besides giving a thorough grounding in basic science andengineering subjects, the department of Electronics and Communication Engineering lays greater emphasis on deep understandingof fundamental principles and state-of-the-art knowledge of : Electronic Devices & Circuits, Computer Architecture,Microprocessors, VLSI & Embedded Systems, Analog & Digital Communication, Analog & Digital Signal Processing andMicrowave & Broadband Communications etc.

The department has laboratories, fully equipped with latest state-of-the-art equipments, apparatus and softwares etc. required forthe B. Tech. ECE (Electronics and Communication Engg.) and EE (Electrical Engg.) courses.

Mechanical EngineeringMechanical Engineering is the science of exploring the natural resources of power and propulsion and materials of engineeringconstruction through the design, development, production, installation and operation of power plants, transport equipments andindustrial plants. The department of Mechanical Engineering is making every sincere efforts to produce excellent graduates tomeet the challenges of national and global problems such as: energy shortage, innovative design methods, manufacture andoperation of prime movers, pumps, compressors, machine tools, production techniques etc.

The department has huge Central Workshop containing Machine Shop, Smithy Shop, Foundry Shop, Welding Shop, CarpentryShop, Fitting Shop and Sheet Metal Shop etc. A separate Drawing Hall contains Auto CAD/CAM facility where the EngineeringGraphics classes are held and the students can gather practical experience and fine-tune their engineering drawing skills. Otherlabs are equipped with the latest equipments and instruments for experiments on different subjects.

Civil Engineering

Civil Engineering, the backbone of the development of a country is theoldest branch of engineering growing right from the stone age of civilization. With the advancement , modern architecture is

needed for the construction of high rise buildings (100-150 stories), advanced Dams construction for of power generation andconstruction of Bridges, Metros, Railways, Airports and Sea ports for Transportation etc. The department of civil engineering hasexperienced and well qualified faculty having specialisation in Construction, Environmental, Geotechnical, Structural,Transportation and Water Resources Engineering. civil2The Department has modern labs equipped with latest equipments like:Tilting Level, Dumpy Level & Electronic Theodolite, Universal Testing Machine (UTM), Three Hinged Arch, Ductility TestingMachine, Direct Shear Testing Machine and Compressive Testing Machine etc. catering to the need of different Labs. SurveyCamps and Industrial Visits are also regularly arranged by the Department.

Management

The Department offers two years full time PG Degree Course (MBA)divided into 4 semesters with a Summer Training Assignment in a Business Organization, in five specialisations: Marketing,Finance, Human Resource Development, Information Technology and International Business. The department intends cultivatingand nurturing the minds for the passing out students to be entrepreneurs and to adapt to the change and keep pace with the fastchanging business scenario. Grooming the next generation of potential leaders is our top priority. To maintain the standard andreputation in the corporate world corporate gurus and leaders are invited for taking lectures and workshops. We follow the conceptof teaching beyond the syllabus which includes the need of the

industry. Training under Personality Development Program (PDP) isarranged regularly throughout the year. Department develops and maintains a close relationship with corporate houses through

guest lectures, corporate get-togethers, industrial visits and frequent interaction at both institute and student level. It arranges forthe mandatory Summer Internship Programme in corporate houses for each student at the end of the first year.

Training and Placement Cell

Offering information, advice, guidance and support for job-seekingstudents is considered a primary responsibility at the College. Training and placement cell is equipped to create a pool of skilledmanpower guiding the students to reach their goals with p erfection. Since the year of its inception VCTMs training & placementdepartment is headed by an active and competent faculty. The Head, Training and Placement Cell is supported by well qualified

permanent training staff.Career Guidance and Personality Developments Seminars, Workshops & Guest Lectures are organized regularly to improve the

performance of students in job market. A team of dedicated faculty members works continuously to groom the students for CareerCounselling, Business Etiquettes, Group Discussions and Interview Skills, Motivation, Resume Writing, Communication Skills,

Negotiation Skills and Mock Interviews etc.The Cell is also responsible for organizing final placement for the graduating students a continuous process that effectivelystarts the day a student joins the college.
