3.The fruits of all of our actions donot go to God but return to us;

even our prayer, concentration, meditation, sacrifices are so.

,through which we ascend or

descend, according to the actions

we do.

Eternally there are two ways of doingactions: material and spiritual. The

material man thinks of the action anddoes it; the spiritual man thinks of theSelf and does the action. The first way

eeps man n on age y o ng min ignorance; the second way frees himfrom bondage by dispelling ignorance.

If, while doing actions, onetakes care not to be attached or

not to allow one’s desire toprevail over the actions done,

detachment and thusexperience greater joy in one’s

heart.

When the will performs actions, the will is called cause; when theaction has been performed, the

action is called effect. So, for

every act on or e ect t ere s acause, and for every cause or

will there is an effect

Will is the infinite thought-planof the Self because all the things

which we see evolving in thiscreation and all others emanate

- . When the thought-plan is put

into execution, it is action.

We are all moving according to the will. Just as puppets are moved by

the puppeteer or a sickle is moved by a grass-cutter, so are we allmoving, acting, standing, running,

crying, laughing, dancing, swimming and doing all actions by the motive will-power of the Self.

We see actions we do but wedo not see the will driving us

to action; so the will is hiddenand the actions are apparent.

The Lord, who is Will and Action, is likewise hidden and

apparent.

Nature has voices everywhere. He who follows the will of the

Supreme can understand throughthe fair or unfair voices of nature

not, whether a matter may begood or bad, harmful or harmless,

easy or difficult…

There are two main ways of knowing about the creation:

through action and throughintuition. Through action, one

everything, and throughintuition, one knows that He is

everything.

Even when one is busy doingactions, one may receive

intuition from the Self throughIts power of pouring

knowledge into the seeker.Even while sleeping,

knowledge may be obtained.
