ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT….
The Department of Biomedical Engineer-ing was established in the year 2007. The de-partment is an inter-disciplinary rivulet which aims at imparting knowledge and skills to the students in the field of Instrumentation and its associated areas such as Signal & Image Pro-cessing, Robotics, MEMS, Artificial Neural Net-works, Java Programming, . The Department has well equipped and state-of-the art facilities for Research & Development. The Department has habitual communications with Hospitals, in-dustries for training, internship, projects and re-search in the emerging fields of Biomedical Engi-neering. The faculty members are well qualified and experienced which accomplishes University ranks consecutively.
“Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself.”
VELTECH MULTITECH - one of the College under the Vel Tech Group of Institutions commenced its educational services in 1999. Today, it stands as a multi professional, research oriented, reputed and nationally recognized prem-ier institute for its career oriented educa-tion. With an optimal blend of theory and practice, motive and desire, it offers
12 courses in Engineering & Technology including seven Post Graduate courses, leading to the award of B.E, B.Tech, M.E, M.Tech, of Anna University, Chennai. The institution’s long, dedicated, diligent and passionate expedition in education continues to contribute to nation building. Under the able guidance and relentless support of the Founder chairman Col. Dr.R.Rangarajan the institute focuses itself on re-search areas in cutting edge technologies to enable a sustainable and inclusive growth by focusing on "Future Needs" of the society. The “Research Forum constituted for this purpose motivates the faculty, researchers and students to identify research problems and develop research proposals which are later submitted to various funding agencies We have been recognized as a research centre for Physics, Chemistry, ECE and EEE dept by Anna Uni-versity to pursue PhD programme. The institution has signed 25 Memorandum of Understandings with National and International Industries and Institutions for collaborative research.
