For those of you who may not be familiar with the Winner’s Circle initiative, it is Commerce Lexington’s annual fundraising campaign that enlists the help of volunteers to sell sponsorships, which helps to enhance our pro- grams and services and positively impact the com- munity. This year, we not only started with the most aggressive goal in the pro- gram’s 14-year history, but the volunteers never wavered in their efforts to surpass this goal. The campaign ended with an all-time high of $921,359 in total production. I know you’ll agree with me when I say that we have the very best volunteers our com- munity has to offer, and I would like to thank the company CEO’s and senior officials who allow their employees to participate in this worthwhile effort. Volunteers, past chairs, Commerce Lexington board members, staff and campaign leadership cel- ebrated our success with a Victory Luncheon hosted at the Griffin Gate Marriott Resort & Spa on December 16th. During the luncheon, we recog- nized those who made our 2016 campaign a huge success, and you’ll see our top team and individual producers highlighted on this page. One of the key reasons for the consistent success of The Winner’s Circle program is the support of the many past chairs, who continue to stay involved, engage in events, and assist volunteers in their sales efforts. Thank you to the following Winner’s Circle past chairs, who are always willing to step up when called upon: Guy Huguelet, Glenn Leveridge, Harry Richart, Nick Rowe, Stephen Hillenmeyer, Herb Miller, Ann Bakhaus, Debbie Long, Alan Stein, Terry McBrayer, Steve Grossman, and Bill Lear. Finally, thank you to our member companies who have supported The Winner’s Circle by purchasing sponsorships or donating gifts to the effort. Your investment makes a big difference in the quality of programming that we are able to offer each year. It says a lot about the confidence that you have in our organization with so many companies supporting events year after year. I thoroughly enjoyed my time as Chairman of the Winner’s Circle, and I look forward to working with many of you in future campaigns.” LUTHER DEATON 2016 CHAIR WINNER’S CIRCLE Central Bank & Trust Co.
