ScienceWe began a science unit of chemical change this week. The first thing we did is tried to understand the Scientific Method. Please ask your child about the Gummy Bear Experiment and if their hypothesis stood true or not.

Homework – even though I have not send out daily homework, PLEASE, have your child working on either Khan Academy, MobyMax, or reading a book for 30 to 60 minutes a day…for their sake.

Google Classroom – Your child has an educational account in Google. I will be placing assignments in their Google Classroom form time to time.

KHAN ACADEMY - Your child has access to this magnificent math website. It is individually based to cater to the level that they are at.  It has hints, definitions, explanations, and videos to explain HOW to work out math problems.  I highly encourage your child to spend 30 minutes a day on it…..They should be on the 5th Grade Level/Place Value and Decimals Unit.  Also, I encourage you to have them show you their ‘Progress’ Page so that you can monitor how they are doing, as well.

MobyMax – Your child can access this website for strengthening their Language Arts and Reading Skills.

Scholastic Books – Our class code is
