Create an Outlook Profile for Office 365

Office 365 email and calendar services are available via the Outlook 2010 desktop client for Windows 7.

Open the Windows Control Panel:

Select mail-32 bit:

Select ‘Show Profiles’ in the next screen.

And then select ‘Add’ to create a new profile:

Name the profile as suits you and then click the ‘OK’ button.

You may elect to keep or remove the existing profile. If you keep it, the new ‘Office 365’ profile must be selected in the “Always use this profile” field.

When you click the ‘OK’ button, the Auto Account Setup wizard will open.

Enter your Office365 credentials. This will be your full UWSA email address and UWSA Active Directory password.

For example:

If you are unable to authenticate with your UWSA Active Directory credentials or you don’t remember your password, call the UWSA HelpDesk at 2-7653 for assistance.

After the Help Desk resets your password, please go to http:/sapwss.uwsa.edu (System Administration PassWord Self Service) to answer security questions and change your password.

The wizard will search and (almost always) will find your Office 365 account in Microsoft’s cloud service and display the following screen. “It might take several minutes:”

After clicking ‘Finish’ you should receive the following message.

Click “OK.”

The Outlook Web App (OWA)

Office 365 is also available to you from any Internet browser with the Outlook Web App at http://outlook.office365.com. Remember to use your full UWSA email address as your username.

The first time you log in, you will see the screen below. Click on “Outlook” on the top bar.

On subsequent logins to OWA, the Outlook page will load.
