Posada (a Spanish word meaning inn) is an opportunity to widen understanding about Jesus and Christmas. What does it mean to you? We hope that between 1st and 25th December, a season we call Advent, you will take Mary, Joseph and their donkey into your home for a night on their journey to Bethlehem, to share in the message of Jesus’ birth.

What is involved?All you need to do is add your name to the Journey Rota, on a board at the back of the church on Sundays in November. Please make sure you have added your details by 26th November, the last Sunday before Advent.For the evening you host Mary and Joseph you can choose to do whatever you like. Why not invite friends and family to sing carols and talk about the meaning of Christmas? There will be booklet about Posada, a notebook to record what you did with Mary and Joseph and a board game in the basket with Mary, Joseph and the donkey.We hope that people of all ages will participate.

We would also like to encourage you to give a donation to the work of Wintercomfort and the Church Army with homeless people. There will be a house collecting box at the back of the church on Sundays in Advent.

It is a simple as that. Will you make room for Jesus in your home this Christmas?
