Together we will discuss all things June. Using a June Newsletter, word search, poem, IQ test and more to bring back memories of the school being out and summer starting.
2. Mind Matters with Kaneisha and Candi
Today we will explore different brain games. In Mind Matters we look to exercise different areas of the brain including; memory, language, executive functioning, and visual spatial skills. *This program will be recorded.
3. Name 5 with Pam
We will explore a variety of topics and categories. Do you know five movie stars, five purple foods, five ways to have fun? Come exercise your mind with Name 5.

1:45PM Seated Exercise with Jose and Pam
Today we will join Jose for a seated exercise program. This is a low-impact program that can be done in your home. We recommend you have enough space to put your arms out and move your feet side to side, in your chair.

2:45PM Musical Theater Jukebox with Mitch, Shay, & Emile
In this activity we will be joining our wonderful volunteers from the Wildfish Theater Group. They will be taking request and discussing classic music from Broadway, theater, dance, and more. If you like music this is perfect for you. If you like the theater even better!

Happy Birthday Andy Griffith with Jada and Ray
Andy Griffith was born in Mount Airy, North Carolina, on this day in 1926. From Mayberry to folk songs we will discuss Andy Griffith’s achievements and life.

Famous Monuments Day with Pam and Ray
The Eiffel Tower, the Great Wall of China, and the Statue of Liberty are just a few of the most recognizable monuments from around the world. Where have you been? Come and discuss your travels at as we look at famous monuments and their history. *This program will be recorded.

12:00PM Zumba with Jose & Jada
In this activity, Jose will lead us through a high energy exercise routine. This can be done seated or standing, please be sure to allow enough room to move side to side and forward and back.

Today, June 2nd, 1896 the first radio patent was issued to Guglielmo Marconi. Come learn all about the radio and its impact on our lives. From music, to news, to family radio shows we will look at the Radio’s impact on society.

Rocky Road was created out of the Great Depression and has been one of the most popular ice cream flacors ever since. Grab a scoop of whatever may be in your fridge and join us at the Amazing Place Ice Cream Parlor.

Happy Hour with Amazing Place and Friends and Casey
Hey its 5 O’Clock somewhere. Make yourself a drink and join us for some conversation and concoctions. We will be making drinks, alcohol not required, and discussing current and past events. Come and have a drink with us!

2. Opinionated Wednesday with Kaneisha
We give you a real-life situation and want to know what you would do in that person’s shoes. No opinion is wrong come tell us what you would do in these fun and exciting scenarios.
3. Laughing Away Wednesday with Jada and Jose
Today we will share jokes and funny stories to laugh away the morning. Laughing helps to improve our health and positivity. Come and join us as we laugh together! Knock Knock!

Rhythmic Exercise with Nancy & Pam
Amazing Place’s wonderful volunteer Nancy will be leading us in exercise to the beat of music. You will need something to beat together, like two sticks, spoons, or whatever you can find to make noise. All the exercises you can do from your chair at home. Just make sure you have enough room to kick your feet and have a good time.

1:45PM Bible Study & Sing Along with Casey and Ray
Join us for a program to promote your spirituality. Amazing Place Bible Study volunteers will join us for a short devotional and a time of worship and praise. We will pray, sing hymns, enjoy a devotional, sing more hymns, and pray.

Nurses Knowledge with Emile
Join one or more of our Registered Nurses as they teach us how to be healthier and safer. We will discuss and learn about topics relevant to seniors and aging. There will be a Q & A at the end of the program.

We will take a look back in time at what historical events that took place on this day. These events include Pulitzer prize day, automobile innovation day, and Kink George III being born. We will discuss how those events shaped modern history and how the impact you.

Donut Day was established to raise funds for the Great Depression and to honor the work of WWI Salvation Army Doughnut Girls. Order some donuts and join us!
2. World Environment Day with Pam and Jose
The United Nations sponsors World Environment Day. We will discuss ways to get involved while at home. We will also discuss Climate Change, Recycling, Clean Energy, and more.
3. Spelling Bee Challenge with Jada
If you like words or word games, this is for you! We will use previous words from the Scribbs National Spelling Bee to challenge our language skills. Words are fun, so come have some fun as we exercise our minds.

2:45PM Get Your Kicks on Route 66 with Casey
Tomorrow is 6/6. Cruise down memory lane with our Route 66 event today. We will reminisce on family car trips, first cars, life on the road and more. Top it all off by singing the song that Route 66 inspired. *This program will be recorded.

3. Travel the World with Kaneisha & Ray In this program we will look at photos from around the world and discuss the different places you have been. Be prepared to see the many wonders of the world as you travel the world through photographs.

Anything Goes on Cole Porter Day with Pam & Candi Cole Porter, born June 9th, 1891 in Peru, Indiana. Many of his songs are featured in Broadway shows. Join us as we explore Cole Porter’s life and music.
