The impact of COVID-19 on the events industry has been significant, to say the least. Without any measure of hyperbole, almost overnight it has implemented a global requirement for new ways of working as we each adapt to this new normal. What is a virtual event?

A new era of events

Ultimately, a virtual event is identical to a traditional live event, with the important caveat that it of course takes place in a digital environment, as opposed to a physical space.

All of the benefits derived from the live event experience – delegate management, presentations and meetings (one-to-one or one-to-many), face-to-face interactions, content consumption, lead capture and business generation – can be very effectively replicated in the digital world, without the physical limitations.
