SCHOOL MINISTRY NEWS
This Thursday and Friday our 8th graders presented
on their time at Our Lady of Fatima School ministry
in a format we call the Rite of Passage Experience It
is inspirational to hear the values and lessons they
have acquired over the course of their educational
journey and how they feel equipped and prepared for
high school
Our 6th grade students were at Camp Hamilton all
week learning about the environment through a
program coordinated with the archdiocese They
returned to campus on Friday with smiles and many
stories to share about the experience

help chaperone a group of 5 middle school boys If

In general baptisms should be celebrated in the parish
boundaries where you live Requests from outside Our

case by case basis

from Fatima is usually the only food the St Francis
clients receive each Wednesday

clothing such as jeans t-shirts sweatshirts and
shoes Sign up here for hard boiled egg donations

Congratulations to James McDowall
(parent and OLF Class of 1986) who
was recently named the Archdiocese
2018 CYO Baseball Coach of the
Year James has been coaching OLF
teams in soccer basketball and
baseball for 20-plus years (as well as several
Magnolia baseball soccer and basketball teams too
during that time frame) He has had a positive
impact on many OLF kids for years and most
impressive is that the majority of Jamesrsquo coaching
gigs have been for teams where none of his own
children were involved James embodies the true
volunteer and team spirit that the Archdiocese and
Our Lady of Fatima CYO programs strive to
achieve This is a well-deserved honor which will
be celebrated on Thursday June 7 with a mass at
530 at St James Cathedral followed by a dinner and
awards ceremony at the Archdiocese office at 910
Marion (across the street from the Cathedral)
SAFE ENVIRONMENT CLASS
September 12 6-8pm OLF School Room 123
(spaces fill up quickly sign up now)
We canrsquot be with our children at all times but we
can learn ways to help keep them safe when wersquore
not there All employee and those volunteers who
have unsupervised ongoing access to minors or
vulnerable adults are required to attend This
program will teach you how to help prevent child
sexual abuse Protecting Godrsquos Children was written
and developed by Virtus a program developed by the
National Catholic Risk Retention Group
This class is reserved for Our Lady of Fatima
parish and School volunteers

SCHOOL MINISTRY NEWS
This Thursday and Friday our 8th graders presented
on their time at Our Lady of Fatima School ministry
in a format we call the Rite of Passage Experience It
is inspirational to hear the values and lessons they
have acquired over the course of their educational
journey and how they feel equipped and prepared for
high school
Our 6th grade students were at Camp Hamilton all
week learning about the environment through a
program coordinated with the archdiocese They
returned to campus on Friday with smiles and many
stories to share about the experience

TRIP
Help is needed chaperoning at the middle school
mission trip this summer We have spots open on
Tuesday July 17 Wednesday July 18th and
Thursday July 19th This is an overnight trip held in
Bellingham and we are looking for adult males to
help chaperone a group of 5 middle school boys If

In general baptisms should be celebrated in the parish
boundaries where you live Requests from outside Our
Lady of Fatima boundaries will be considered on a
case by case basis

lives the works of our hands We give these to the
priest as a symbol of giving our lives totally to God
as a sacrifice and ask God to transform them into

(parent and OLF Class of 1986) who
was recently named the Archdiocese
2018 CYO Baseball Coach of the
Year James has been coaching OLF
teams in soccer basketball and
baseball for 20-plus years (as well as several
Magnolia baseball soccer and basketball teams too
during that time frame) He has had a positive
impact on many OLF kids for years and most
impressive is that the majority of Jamesrsquo coaching
gigs have been for teams where none of his own
children were involved James embodies the true
volunteer and team spirit that the Archdiocese and
Our Lady of Fatima CYO programs strive to
achieve This is a well-deserved honor which will
be celebrated on Thursday June 7 with a mass at
530 at St James Cathedral followed by a dinner and
awards ceremony at the Archdiocese office at 910
Marion (across the street from the Cathedral)
SAFE ENVIRONMENT CLASS
September 12 6-8pm OLF School Room 123
(spaces fill up quickly sign up now)
We canrsquot be with our children at all times but we
can learn ways to help keep them safe when wersquore
not there All employee and those volunteers who
have unsupervised ongoing access to minors or
vulnerable adults are required to attend This
program will teach you how to help prevent child
sexual abuse Protecting Godrsquos Children was written
and developed by Virtus a program developed by the
National Catholic Risk Retention Group
This class is reserved for Our Lady of Fatima
parish and School volunteers
