3/12
See clearly up close but blurry in the distance.
Condition of the eye where the light that
comes in does not directly focus on the retina
but in front of it.

4/12
See clearly in the distance but blurry up close.
As an object moves toward the eye, the eye must
increase its optical power to keep the image in
focus on the retina. If the power of the cornea
and lens is insufficient, as in hyperopia, the
image will appear blurred.

5/12
It is because of the shape of the cornea.
Is an optical defect in which vision is blurred due
to the inability of the optics of the eye to focus a
point object into a sharp focused image on the
retina. This may be due to an irregular or toric
curvature of the cornea or lens.

6/12
Caused by a corneal scar or
scattering in the crystalline lens.
Cannot be corrected by standardspectacle lenses.
Can be corrected by contact
lenses.
Irregularastigmatism
Arising from either the cornea
or crystalline lens can be
corrected by a toric lens.Regularastigmatism

8/12
A clouding of the lens inside the eye which
leads to a decrease in vision.
It is the most common cause of blindness and
is conventionally treated with surgery.
Visual loss occurs because opacification of the
lens obstructs light from passing and being
focused on to the retina at the back of the
eye.

Difficulty focusing on objects that are close
Presbyopia
Increased pressure in the eye, which is most often painless.
Can develop poor night vision, blind spots, and loss of visionGlaucoma
Loss of central vision, blurred vision (especially while
reading), distorted vision and colors that look faded.
Macular
degeneration
Tiny particles drifting inside the eye, which may be confused
with retinal detachment.Floaters
Floaters, sparks or flashes of light in your vision, or a
sensation of a shade or curtain hanging across part of yourvisual field.Retinal detachment
Spots of light, halos, or zigzag patterns that appear before
the start of the headacheMigraine headaches
Eye infection, inflammation, or injury - Diabetic eye disease
