RATIONALE
The overall look reflects my personality and my profession well, simple, sophisticated and intuitive. The themes I wanted to portray is femininity and romanticism. Using the colour palette from the Melbourne Dance Company Poster as inspiration; I choose my colours based on the subtleness of the greens, blues, purples and pinks, it makes it very soft and dream like. The Visual Merchandising logo was created using the zig zag of both the letters and merging them together. It is used in white on top of the gradient or the inverse. The typeface I used for the logotype was Bodoni Classic in Ad Bold Italics because it is strong and refined. The text font is Tamil MN; it is a san serif font that is curvy, has a heavy weight to it and juxtaposes Bodoni’s sharpness. I am happy with the sleekness, the spacing, colour scheme and type.
