Vivacity'16 Report
Vivacity, in its 9th edition, had a rocking start with the performance of the Lagori band.
Lagori Band is a popular band based in Bangalore, that makes music which reflects the
face of the modern Indian youth.
‘Lagori’ is a popular name of the street game- Sitoliya, thus reflecting the band’s
fascination with music and Indian culture. The band had started the series of fun and
frolic of all that was going to happen at Vivacity. With Tejas Shankar at Vocals, Shalini
Mohan, Geeth Vaz and Edward Rasquinha on guitars and Vinyl Kumar on Drums, the
band as a whole had rocked the night! The energy with which they performed enthused
the entire audience and gave them the glimpse of the enormity of what we call
‘VIVACITY’!
On the night of the 31st January, everyone enjoyed the most awaited Sunburn and the
presence of the singer Nikhil D’souza. The stage performance by Nikhil D’souza took
Vivacity to very new heights! Everyone was so engrossed into the musical beats and into
the magical voice that had won all hearts. He with his band sung many popular songs
while the audience could not stop themselves from dancing to the rhythms.
LNMIIT successfully hosted the Sunburn on the 31st of January. The name ‘Sunburn’
itself suffices to put all to joy and ecstasy. Sunburn had brought them to one place, to
make the night the most memorable one. This year’s sunburn was equally lavish with DJ
Artemisia, Candice Redding and DJ Shaan taking the stage. The electronic music had
electrified the atmosphere completely! The stage was set with all lightings and fireworks
to refine this moment.
