1. Abstract

Mankind is confidently approach-ing the solution of aging and death problem. There are many organiza-tions working to increase life expec-tancy for this. In addition, several institutions are developing ways to preserve a person until the moment when immortality is achieved. This is usually cryonics and digital im-mortality.

There are already several companies engaged in developments for digital immortality on the market, but all of them either assume very long terms for any achievements (dozens of years) or are engaged only in stud-ies without practical implementa-tion. However, the market of digital immortality and investments into it are growing rapidly, so very soon the situation will change radically.

Technologies from this sphere can be used for a number of tasks:

• Preservation of physiological

data of the body• Preservation of memories• Preservation of personality• Creation of a digital copy• Restoration of a person

immortality.digital offers a solution for preserving a complete set of human data and, if desired, imple-menting them in the form of a digi-tal avatar. All physiological data and indicators, the results of detailed psychological tests and a complete digital trace (all video, audio and photo materials, as well as all mes-sages ever written by the client) will be collected. Next, the data will be processed by complex neural net-works to create a digital avatar on their basis. The avatar will be with visualization and audio, and will be able to maintain the conversation at a level that is possible with the cur-rent development of technologies. In the future, the avatar will be con-stantly updated with new informa-tion and updated with the advent of

updated with the advent of new technologies.

Information will be stored in all ma-jor data stores, including decentral-ized ones: Memority, Google, Am-azon, Dropbox, Storj, Sia. The files will be encrypted, and only the cli-ent will have access to them. The service provides storage of data for up to 1,000 years, until they are needed for the client restoration in the real body.

The client will need to undergo a complete examination in one of the best clinics in Germany, the USA, Switzerland or Israel to collect in-formation. Psychological tests will also be conducted in controlled conditions with the recording of all indicators, in order to obtain a more qualitative and accurate result. Data will be processed by our employees to be provided to neural networks.

There will be 2 options provided by our service:

1. just collecting and storing all the data

2. creating a digital avatar based on stored data

Abstract

2. Problem

People seek to achieve immortality in one form or another for millennia. Most futurists are inclined to believe that immortality will become avail-able to us through the development of science in the coming decades. Raymond Kurzweil, one of the most famous futurists and transhuman-ists, says that by 2030 humanity can completely get rid of aging. At the moment there are 3 basic concepts for achieving immortality:

• Life extension• Cryonics• Digital immortality

Digital immortality is the hypothet-ical concept of storing (or transfer-ring) a person’s personality in more durable media, i.e., a computer. The result might look like an avatar be-having, reacting, and thinking like a person on the basis of that person’s digital archive. After the death of the individual, this avatar could remain static or continue to learn and de-velop autonomously.

Achievement of digital immortality assumes 2 main stages:1. «Archiving» and the digitization of a person;2. Implementation («revitalization») of the digital copy.

Digitization of a person is a process in which the maximum amount of relevant data is recorded (the most detailed results of scanning and examinations of the brain and the organism as a whole, all available digital traces of a person: messag-es, records of conversations, videos, photographs, the results of various psychological tests, etc.).

The implementation of a digital copy is the process of structuring all the collected data, creating a «map» of the personality and supplying it with artificial intelligence, which could believably restore the per-son’s identity.

Implementation can be just through text or full digital recreation (with

Problem

voice, video, 3d model). With the de-velopment of technologies, a digital copy can be implemented as a full-fledged living person.

According to Ray Kurzweil, by 2045 «based on conservative estimates of the amount of computation you need to functionally simulate a hu-man brain, we’ll be able to expand the scope of our intelligence a bil-lion-fold».

Today, there are many organiza-tions in the world that are exploring the possibilities of digital immortal-ity (Center for Digital Philosophy, Western University of Canada, The Digital Immortality Institute, etc.), and there are several projects that develop methods for uploading consciousness into the digital space (Blue Brain Project, Cyber All Project, Terasem and others). Unfortunately, they either do not plan practical im-plementation in the near future, or they only suggest the development of technologies for the possibility of realizing digital immortality in 27 years («Initiative 2045»).

3. Market conditions

With the development of technolo-gies, the life extension market is also growing, as the number of available solutions increases, so does con-fidence in this sphere and, conse-quently, the amount of investment in it.

According inc.com the current size of technology market aimed at com-bating aging and developing oppor-tunities for immortality is 1.6 billion dollars. By 2025, it is projected to grow to $ 20 billion. The market of regenerative medicine is much larg-er (in 2013, according to the Finan-cial Times, it attracted $ 1.3 billion investment).

Cryonics also demonstrates a posi-tive trend: according to the compa-nies providing this service, today more than 350 patients have been frozen, and about 4000 contracts for freezing in the future have been con-cluded, and this number is growing exponentially.

There are 5 main funds that allocate grants for projects to combat old age and death:1. Ellison Medical Foundation allo-

cates $40 million per year for life extension projects.

2. The Glenn Foundation for Medi-cal Research allocates grants of $60,000 to companies that are combating aging.

3. The Methuselah Foundation in-vests in companies conducting research in regenerative medi-cine.

4. Grand Challenge for Healthy Lon-gevity is a project of the National Academy of Medicine in the US, within which $ 25 million will be collected and invested in life ex-tension projects.

5. The Longevity Fund is an invest-ment fund with focus on aging modification projects.

Thanks to the work of these and other organizations, a number of companies engaged in life extension have emerged:• Unity - develops methods for

treating old age diseases with the help of stem cells

• Precision BioSciences - works on anti-cancer and anti-aging meth-ods with the help of genome modification

Market conditions

• Alexo Therapeutics - develops methods for treating diseases of old age and cancer

• Metacrine Biotech - develops methods for treating old age dis-eases

• Ambrosia & Alkahest - works on a method of aging treatment through blood renewal

• Google initiative Calico - Google’s project aimed to create methods for overcoming aging

Let’s take a closer look at projects that deal with digital immortality in one form or another. Companies, with an analysis of their solutions:

1. Initiative 2045Initiative 2045 - the most ambitious of projects, involves the creation of an artificial body (avatar), in which the human consciousness will be transferred. The body must in no way be inferior to the real organism, and its development consists of sev-eral stages.• Avatar A: a robotic humanoid ma-

chine capable of receiving and processing commands from a hu-man through a neuromachine in-terface (readiness until 2020).

• Avatar B: an anthropoid machine into which the human brain can be transplanted, and it will be

able to support its vital activity (readiness until 2025).

• Avatar C: avatar with an artificial brain, in which you can down-load the human personality for emulation (readiness until 2035).

• Avatar D: the avatar ceases to be a physical machine, and becomes a hologram-like one. However, the authors of the project argue that this goal is not necessary because it does not provide ad-vantages over the previous stage, and physics in its current state is not able to provide an opportu-nity even for a detailed theoriza-tion of the hologram-like avatar. Readiness until 2045.

The project is very ambitious and able to provide a solution to the problem of aging and death, but the third and fourth phases are more likely to create a copy of a person than help extend his life. It is also very likely that the project does not fit into its deadlines: the first stage should be completed in 1.5 years, and the company did not submit anything even closely resembling what was planned. If the project suc-ceeds, it seems that you will have to wait tens of years before it can be used.

Market conditions

2. GenecoinGenecoin is a project to record the genome in Bitcoin’s blockchain and its subsequent long-term storage. The project proposes to make a se-quencing of your DNA and to write it digitally into Bitcoin’s blockchain for a fee in their own cryptocurrency. Unfortunately, this is far from being same as digital immortality, since the identity of a person will not be recorded. The maximum what one can do with the genome is to create a clone of a person who, except for appearance, will not be anything like the original.

3. ReplikaReplika - AI chatbot, which through communication with the user gets more and more information about him and tries to simulate his person-ality. The project is already working, but judging by the feedback of users, it is still far from perfect and, most importantly, it collects extremely limited amount of information, not at all sufficient to recreate the digi-tal version of the user.

4. EternimeEternime is a project that intends to create a «library» of people’s lives and stories. They want to record

all the information about a per-son (thoughts, stories, memories), most likely through mobile devices, in order to preserve a person’s his-tory for a long time. However, they do not plan to create a digital copy of the person, nor do they provide anything other than a general idea, so it is difficult to imagine exactly how they are going to implement it technically, especially the process of thoughts recording.

5. BeANKHBeANKH is a project to create a dig-ital copy of a person based on arti-ficial intelligence. Of all the listed projects, it is the most realistic for implementation in the near future and provides the likelihood of digital immortality, but they have extreme-ly limited functionality for collecting information. At the initial stages, they plan to do just a detailed ques-tionnaire based on the mobile appli-cation, upon the answers of which the digital personality will be fully formed. Next they also want to inte-grate the collection of public infor-mation from social networks. Even with this, the digital copy created by them will only remotely resemble the original.

Market conditions

6. Projects of perpetual digital data storage

Last to consider are projects for the perpetual storage of human data. There are several of them: 123456789, Legacy, ForeverNet-work, MemoryMountain, Cyber All Project. Their ideas are similar: they collect maximum information about a person and store it until better times. However, the information collected by them is limited only by digital data: all texts, messages, photographs, audio and video re-cordings. Their data storage is cen-tralized, so it is strongly influenced by many factors, most importantly - the fate of the company itself. And yet these projects do not plan to rec-reate a digital copy of a person.

As you can see, at the moment there are quite a lot of projects focused on digital immortality, but none of them provides a comprehensive solution, at least in the near future.

The domain of overcoming aging and achieving immortality is still very young and investments in it are rather restrained in comparison with others, however its growth is

exponential, therefore very soon the number of companies and projects in it will begin to grow rapidly and fill the market. And there is no doubt that in several decades the problem of aging and death will be solved.

4. Use cases

Technologies of digital immortality (ours in particular) can be used for a number of beneficial solutions:

1. Precise physiological data preser-vationDue to the fact that we carry out a full and detailed study of the organism, all possible parameters and charac-teristics of the body (including each organ) will be preserved. Given the rapid development of technology, this data can later come in handy to create an artificial organ or for a complete body replacement. In any case, it’s much better to have them than not to have.

2. Memories preservationThe storage of information in any form is not so reliable as it may seem. Information disappears from the Internet with time, cryonics has not yet been able to return a person to life, so it can not be said with cer-tainty that his memories will remain unscathed, and in everyday life our brain eventually removes old infor-mation, so the longer we live - the more will be forgotten. Therefore, it may be necessary to store the data safely and long-term, the solution

to which we provide. All your pho-tos, video and audio recordings, text messages and posts will be stored in the safest storage system avail-able at the moment - in the platform of Memority. They guarantee that nobody except you can access the data, and that nothing will happen to it, no matter how long it has to be stored. Thanks to this, you or your digital version will be able to access your memories at any time.

3. Personality preservationThanks to detailed psychological tests and neural network-based analysis of all your messages, photos and videos, we will be able to store a kind of “personality imprint”. It can also be needed for the digital ver-sion, and for recovery after cryonics, so that a person could remain him-self, despite any possible problems. Our system will store a full backup of your personality and character.

4. Digital immortalityBy storing all the abovementioned information (biological data, mem-ories and personality imprint), you will be able to create a full-fledged digital version of yourself, especial-

Use cases

ly when the artificial intelligence is sufficiently developed to be able to simulate a full-fledged human brain. Thus, you can continue to live in dig-ital form or in an artificial body.

5. Person restorationWhen recovering from cryonics, or when science is sufficiently devel-oped to allow recovery of the body in any case, all the data we store will be extremely useful in order to speed up this process and achieve the most correct result. And since at the current moment it is still impos-sible to fully protect your body be-fore the appearance of full-fledged immortality, our solution is the best available alternative.

6. Digital copy creationAfter saving all the information about yourself in our system, you will be able to create a digital copy of the yourself with which you can via text, voice or even video. Such digital copies can provide an oppor-tunity for relatives and friends not to lose a person completely even in the event of his biological death.

There is a number of possibilities for the application of the informa-tion we store. So long as science is not sufficiently developed to en-sure immortality, our solution is the best option that one can choose for himself, because, no matter circum-stances, having all this information is undoubtedly better than not hav-ing it.

5. Our solution

immortality.digital is a project of achieving digital immortality by stor-ing all possible information about a person for any period of time and creating a digital avatar of him. The collection of information will consist of three separate stages:

1. Collection of biological informa-tion about a person.Clients will undergo a full medical examination in one of our top-level partner clinics. All the parameters and indices of the organism will be measured, up to the size and con-dition of each internal organ. A se-quencing of the genome and a de-tailed brain scan with MRI will also be performed.

2. Collection of psychological infor-mation.The client will be given a number of carefully developed psychological tests, through which it will be pos-sible to determine his personality traits and characteristics.

3. Collection of a complete digital track

Collection of all audio and video recordings, photographs, ever writ-ten messages and posts of a client for their further preservation. After the initial collection, the system will automatically add new information throughout the life of the client.

After the initial collection of in-formation is completed, it will be processed by our employees and submitted for analysis by complex neural networks together with a full digital trace to create a complete im-print of the client’s identity. Based on this, a digital avatar will be cre-ated. The avatar will have the cli-ent’s memories, the manner of his speech, he will be visualized (the video will be created on the basis of the 3d model and video clips of the client) and able to communicate. In terms of usefulness, the avatar will represent the most high-quality cli-ent model that can be created at the current state of the technology. With their development, all client avatars will also be updated and improved to a full-fledged recreation of the in-dividual.

Our solution

Also, neural networks will analyze all further digital information about the client and add results to person-ality imprint.

A choice of 2 services will be avail-able to customers: just the storage of all their information, or the stor-age of all information with the cre-ation of a digital avatar, with which one can communicate.

The collected information must be secured against two factors: access by third parties (for the purpose of obtaining, modifying or destroying it) and accidental loss (due to stor-age malfunctions, external factors or force majeure). To ensure this level of security, we use storage ser-vices of Memority, which provides a distributed network of storages with the information being recorded in blockchain.

Each client data file will be stored in 10 copies at 10 random hosts around the world. Independent monitoring systems will constantly check the

stored copies, and if a copy is mod-ified, deleted or the host is unavail-able, a new copy will be created at a new random host, and the «bad» host will be deleted from the net-work of this file with a downgrade. All this will happen completely de-centralized, so whatever happens all systems will work, and the data will not be lost even if up to 90% of hosts simultaneously disappear.

Also, each file will be encrypted be-fore being sent for storage, and only file owner (the client) will have the encryption key. Therefore, even if an attacker somehow manages to detect a random host that has the stored file, locate the file itself in its repository and get access to it - he will still need at least tens of years (probably hundreds) to decrypt one file. So files security is very strong.

Our solution

In addition to Memority, all digi-tal data will be stored in storages of Google Drive, Amazon, Dropbox, Storj, Sia. And in case of termination of any of these systems, the data will be transferred to their top an-alogues. This is necessary to avoid even the minimum probability of losing files.

As a result of the immortality.digi-tal’s work, the client will receive a complete set of information about his body and identity, stored in an extremely safe place in the storage until the time he needs it, no matter how many years it is required. Also, based on the collected information, you can create a digital copy of the client’s identity.

6. Technologies

If you choose the option that in-cludes creating a digital avatar, you will also record dialogs on various topics to collect reactions, facial expressions and micro emotions, so that in the future it all could be recreated in a digital form. Videos will be recorded, together with mea-surements of various sensors and a full 3D scan. In addition, there will be several recordings of communi-cation with close people with the same measurements.

Technologies

To create a more detailed and cor-rect personality imprint, you will also need a complete digital trace. And the more information in it, the better the result will be. There will be two systems for collecting infor-mation as part of immortality.dig-ital: for public information and for personal information. The system for collecting personal information is not compulsory, but it will help to significantly improve the quality of the person’s imprint. For private data collection, access will be pro-vided only to secure complex neu-ral networks, which will also inde-pendently encrypt all data before uploading. People will not have ac-cess to personal information at any time.

The collection of public information consists of the following stages:• Primary scanning of all Internet

resources and social networks for mentions, with human pro-cessing (identifying information as relevant / irrelevant, highlight-ing all related keywords, select-ing photos, audio and video ma-terials).

• Connecting services to track

mentions, as well as neural net-works, to compare the relevance of a reference to a person (by key-words, analysis of photographs, audio and video recordings).

• Connecting services to track the public part of social networks, also with neural networks, to an-alyze the relevance of user’s men-tions and posts.

Collection of personal information:• Connecting secure neural net-

works with access to accounts on social networks that will conduct a primary scan with relevancy analysis and will add information as it appears (all correspondence, photos and videos on which a person is represented, etc.)

• Connecting a personal applica-tion to upload information by user. It is necessary for the user to be able to independently up-load all the information that will not be placed on the Internet. The application will encrypt the data on the user’s end, and he will be the sole owner of a private key, so no one else will be able to access it.

6.1.3 Digital trace

Technologies

6.2 Data storage

Storing information is the most im-portant part of our project, because any other work will lose all meaning if the data is lost at any point in time. That’s why we chose Memority, the platform that provides the most re-liable data storage, with protection against accidental loss, third-party access, and information deletion or modification.

Memority is a decentralized, ul-tra-secure storage with blockchain integration. Data is encrypted with a private key during uploading. Only its owner has this key so he is the only one who can have access to his files.

Information is stored by other users, and to avoid the possibility of data loss or temporary lack of access, 10 copies are automatically created for 10 different random hosts. This also provides protection against third-party access, because they will not be able to find out which file is stored by which host to try to hack them.

Hash codes of each file are written

into blockchain, so they are impos-sible to modify or delete. These hash codes are later used by indepen-dent monitoring systems to check authenticity of stored files. If any host modifies or removes files, the monitoring system will immediately identify it, remove host from hosts set, lower his rating and reupload the file to a new random host.

The same happens if a file is deleted or inaccessible for 24 hours: the host gets excluded and the file gets reup-loaded to a new random host.

And most importantly, all of the above processes are completely de-centralized, that is, they do not de-pend on Immortality.Digital, neither on file owners, nor on Memority it-self. Monitoring hosts and creating new copies works independently, and will continue to work while each file has at least one host.

If there are 10 copies of the file in the system, the probability of its preser-vation is about 99.99999999996%. The probability of access to each file for the owner at any time is 99.998%.

Technologies

The files will be safe even with si-multaneous loss of up to 89% of all hosts, which is almost impossible a priori.

In addition to Memority, to provide the highest quality and reliable pro-tection, the information will be du-plicated to the storages of Google, Amazon, Dropbox, Storj and Sia. If any of these services cease to exist, files will be uploaded to the best available analogue.

We will store customer data in en-crypted form in several indepen-dent storage systems to ensure that it cannot be lost. And, thanks to this, all the important customer data will be fully preserved until the moment it is needed, be it years, decades or even centuries.

6.3 Creating a digital imprint of a person and an avatar

After receiving all possible data (physiological indicators, results of psychological tests and a complete digital trace), it will be analyzed by a system with complex neural net-works, to create a full-fledged digital imprint of the personality that can be used to implement the digital av-atar of the user.

As a result of the analysis, neural networks will provide a complete set of personality characteristics: char-acter traits, behavioral features, ap-pearance, voice, manner of speech and writing style. In the future, with

the development of technologies, the model created on the basis of such an imprint will be able to use using artificial intelligence and can become virtually indistinguishable from the original, with access to most of his memories.

The first imprint of the person will be created after the initial analysis of all user data, and in the future, as the data will be constantly added, new imprints of the person will be created yearly. The old ones will not be deleted, so that they can be used if necessary.

Technologies

A digital personality model based on imprints can be used as follows:

• When the user returns to life after cryonics or another procedure, to maximize the quality of recovery.

• To create a digital copy of a per-son who will continue to exist af-ter his death.

• To create a digital copy after death, which relatives and friends will have access to, so that they and the next generations can communicate with it (via text, voice or video).

Customers will also be able to pay for the creation of a full-fledged dig-ital avatar. Based on 3D scans, pho-tos, audio and video recordings, our team will recreate the image of the user, and will add the ability to com-municate as good as modern tech-nologies allow. With their develop-ment, all avatars of our clients will be updated and improved until they become fully functional.

Since immortality.digital will use all possible information to create such a copy, it will be as close to the orig-inal as possible and much better than other available options.

7. Financial plan

The funds raised will mainly be spent on research and development. First of all, it will be necessary to clarify and verify all necessary clinical and psychological examinations. Next - a system for visualizing the avatar and recreating the voice, as well as the development of complex neural networks for the analysis of all client messages and the definition of the manner of speech.

In addition, software solutions will be needed to automatically upload all new information (messages, vid-eo and photo materials) into data storages.

For R&D 75% of the collected funds will be allocated. 10% will be allo-cated for the costs associated with the ICO (tokens listing on exchang-es, integrating into crypto wallets). Another 10% - for a marketing cam-paign, to attract the narrow target audience to the product (only those who will be interested in the service and able to afford it). 3% - opera-tional and administrative costs, 2% - legal costs.

Due to the need to organize a trip to one of the top clinics to measure all data, and due to a large amount of work needed for its processing and preparation for analysis by com-plex neural networks customers will have to cover this expenses, as well as data storage for up to 1,000 years.

Payment will be accepted only in tokens, so after the end of ICO the first customer will have to purchase tokens only from ICO-investors on crypto exchanges. The cost will be tied to the USD-IDT exchange rate, so with token price increase, the price of service in the tokens will fall, so that in US dollar equivalent it will remain unchanged.

Financial plan

3 service packages will be available for sale:1. Memories - Saving all data from social net-works - Saving all videos, photos and au-dio materials of the user - Saving all mentions on the Inter-net and personal files of the user - Storage of this data for 1,000 years.

Package price: $ 86,8002. Personality - Everything that is included in the “Memories” package - Conducting a medical examina-tion in one of the best clinics - Conducting psychological exam-inations - Storage of all data for 1,000 yearsPackage price: $ 153,2003. Avatar - Everything that is included in “Per-sonality” and “Memories” packages - Analysis of collected information

by complex neural networks - Creation of a digital avatar of the user, with which one can communi-cate with - Continuous avatar improvement with the development of technolo-gies - Storage of all data for 1,000 yearsPackage price: $ 272,000
