Museum highlightsLove is … Australian Wedding FashionWedding outfits and accessories covering nearly 200 years of Australian weddings. Memorabilia, photographs and letters reveal the stories and traditions behind the outfits.

Recollect: Health & MedicineA human skull, surgical instruments, apothecary jars, dentures, prosthetic eyes, cardiac pacemakers and cochlear implants are among the items that have come out of storage for this unusual display.

Million Dollar Mermaid: Annette KellermanCostumes, memorabilia and movie footage relating to Australian swimming legend, film star and vaudeville entertainer Annette Kellerman.

Experimentations YOU become the scientist, engineer, thinker, artist and inventor in this dynamic exhibition. It’s a space where you can play, explore, invent and discover.

Student Fashion 2017This annual display highlights the creativity and inspiration behind the designs of the top graduates from Sydney fashion schools.

The International Exhibition of Sherlock HolmesFollow in the footsteps of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s most famous character at The International Exhibition of Sherlock Holmes. Exclusive to the Powerhouse Museum, the Australian premiere of this internationally touring exhibition allows the whole family to play detective.

IconsSee little known treasures from the Museum’s collection and rediscover old favourites in an exhibition that reinterprets the conventional notion of an ‘icon’ through the themes of luxury, celebrity, status, spirituality, value and genius.

1967 Referendum 50th AnniversaryThe Museum commemorates this milestone with a selection of works from the collection by Indigenous artists.

The LabLevel 2The Lab is a hands-on play space dedicated to interactive technologies. Offering events and workshops featuring computer science, digital media, game design and making, it’s a space you can learn a skill, tinker with tools, make a project and share ideas. Bookings necessary. For more details visit maas.museum/thelab.

Explore the Experimentations exhibition where young visitors can become the scientist, engineer, thinker, artist and inventor.
