1. ActivatetheproductinanareawithoutlargebuildingstoimproveGPSreception.

2. ThetemperaturerangeforoptimumoperationoftheGPSreceiverinyourcaris‐10~50°C.

3. Whenusingtheproductforthefirsttimeorafteralongperiod(morethanthreedays),itmaytakealittlelongertorecognizeyourcurrentlocation.ItmaytakebetweenfiveandthirtyminutestogetGPSreception.

GPSreceptionmaybeimpairedunderthefollowingcircumstances

1) IfthereisanobjectattheendoftheGPSantenna

2) Ifyourvehiclehasmetallicelementsonthewindshields

3) IfequipmentgeneratingelectromagneticwavesthatinterferewiththeGPSsignalisinstalledinthevehiclee.g.:OtherGPSdevicessuchasacertaintypeofwirelessactivatedalarms,MP3andCDplayersandcameraalarmsusingGPS.

4) Ifyouareusingareceiverconnectedbycable,electricinterferencecanbeavoidedbysimplychangingthelocationofthereceiver(antenna).

5) Onheavilyovercastorcloudydays,ifthevehicleisinacoveredlocationsuchasunderabridgeorraisedroadway,inatunnel,anundergroundroadwayorparkingarea,insideabuildingorsurroundedbyhigh‐risebuildings.

AutomaticBootingOncetheVT2000hasbeenwiredtoyourcarpowersourcetheVT2000willbebootup,thiswilltakearound1minutefortheunittobereadytorecord.

Thedefaultsettingforrecordisthecontinuousrecordingat30fps,720Presolution.OnthissettingtheSDcardstoragemaybeusedupquickeranddependingonthesettings,overwriteorstoprecordingwhenfull.Toavoidlosingvaluabledata,backupdatatoaseparatestorageorPCdeviceafteranyincidents.

ContinuousRecord(WhenRecordmodesetas“Continuous”)

Thisisthedefaultmodeforrecording.Inthissettingtheunitwillbeginrecordingafterbootupandrecordtheentiretimetheunitispowered.Theresolutionandframeratescanbesetasperyourrequirements.YoucanchangetheconfigurationoftherecordingusingtheVT2000Software.Todothis,pleaseseethe‘Settings’sectiononpage16.

NOTE:Theunitwillnotstartrecordingimmediatelyafterpoweron.Ittakesaround1minuteforthebuilt‐inpowerbackupsystemtocharge.Thereafter,theinternalflashmemorywillbereadytorecord.

Thecontinuousrecordfpsis1fpsandthefilewillbestoredonthe“Normal”folder.EventrecordwillworkaccordingtotheFpssettingforexample30framespersecondrecordingandthefilewillbestoredonthe“Event”folder

EventRecord(WhenRecordmodesetas“Event”)

Theunitwillrecordwhentriggeredbyeitheranimpactorapushofthe‘PANIC’button.Eacheventfilecontainsupto20secondsprior&upto20secondspostevent.Andtheeventfilecanbeextendedby2nd triggerduringeventrecord.Wheneventsaretriggeredcontinuously,foreveryevent,20secondspost‐recordingfromthetimeoftheeventwillbeaddedtotheeventdatafilewithamaximumrecordingtimeof3minutes.Whenthis3minutesisreached,thefilewillbesplitandanewfilewillbecreatedbutthedatawillbecontinuous.

DriveData(DRVfile)

TheDRV(DriveData)filewillberecordedduringdrivingeveniftherearenoeventsorvideo.TheDRVfileconsistsofGPSandG‐sensordataandithelpstofindspecificdataordrivingbehaviors.TheDRVfileoverwritestheoldestdata.TheDVRfileswillbemadeevery10minutes.

Parkyourvehicleonaflatlevelsurface.TurnofftheenginebeforeinstallingtheVT2000.

AttachtheVT2000usingtheprovideddoublesided3Mtape.Thesurfacemustbecleananddrybeforeyouinstall.Werecommendedtoinstalltheproductbehindtherearviewmirroronthefrontwindshield.

NOTE:The3Madhesivetapewillnotstickwellwithdustoroil,etc.Pleasemakesurethesurfaceiscleanbeforeapplying.

Adjustcameraview.Makesurethelenshasanunobstructedview.Checkfromoutsidethevehicletocheckthecameraangle,youcanadjusttheangleviathebracketteeth.

Arrangethepowercordneatlyalongsideofthewindshieldanddoorpillartrim.

TheVT2000requiresacontinuous12/24voltpowersourcefromthevehicle.

ThecablesuppliedwillallowyoutohardwiretheVT2000unittothefuseboxofyourvehicle.

Connectthe“redcable(+)”toafuse.Itshouldbeconnectedtoafusethathaspowerwhenyoustarttheengine.

Thegroundcableshouldbecontactedatthecarbodyorbatterynegative.
