Where can I find a local installer?Visit the “�nd an installer” section of our website at vicwest.com or take this brochure to the contractor desk of your local building supply retailer and they will be pleased to help you.

Can I walk on my metal roof?Since a Vicwest metal roof requires virtually no maintenance, there should be no reason to do so – but in essence, yes! However, like any roof, care should be exercised. You can discuss speci�c details about walking on your roof with your installation company.

Does my shingle roof have to be removed before a metal roof can be installed?In most applications, metal can be applied over top of the old shingle roof with wood strapping between the metal roof and shingles, saving money and eliminating a great deal of mess. Investing in a metal roof presents an opportunity to remove the old roof in order to inspect the plywood decking for rot and conduct any repairs that may be required as a result of the previous failed roof. Vicwest recommends that you discuss this with your installer and check with your local building code prior to installation.
