It is approximately 6,756 miles from Fort Drum, New York to Paktika Province, Afghanistan. You are encouraged to walk, run, use the elliptical, bike, swim, or hike the literal miles. Each participant can also earn one mile for every 10 minutes of sustained physical activity (chasing after your kids on their bikes, walking with your baby in the carrier, for example). This is also open to family members as well…parents, in-laws, siblings, grandparents, etc., so spread the word! Keep track of your total combined family mileage. The twentieth of each month, email Maura Bernasconi your logged miles. Every FRG meeting we will see how close we are! We can also meet when the weather is warmer and walk together. If we twenty of us meet, and walk one mile, that is twenty miles logged! Let us see how far we can go! POC: Maura Bernasconi [email protected]

1-89 Cavalry

“Steps to our soldiers” Project.

The main objective of our walk is for everyone to work together toward a common goal,

symbolically…”walking” the miles between home and our loved ones!

It is approximately 6,756 miles from Fort Drum, New York to Paktika Province, Afghanistan.

You are encouraged to walk, run, use the elliptical, bike, swim, or hike the literal miles. Each

participant can also earn one mile for every 10 minutes of sustained physical activity (chasing

after your kids on their bikes, walking with your baby in the carrier, for example). This is also

open to family members as well…parents, in-laws, siblings, grandparents, etc., so spread the

word!

Keep track of your total combined family mileage. The twentieth of each month, email Maura

Bernasconi your logged miles. Every FRG meeting we will see how close we are! We can also

meet when the weather is warmer and walk together. If we twenty of us meet, and walk one

mile, that is twenty miles logged!

Let us see how far we can go!
