Walsham Grange Care Home is in the historic Norfolk market town of North Walsham; it is only 25 minutes from Norwich. The care home is a fine period property which has been extended and converted to ensure that our residents get the very highest standard of Residential and Dementia care all while still keeping its charm, elegance, and character.

Celebrating Life Together

Our residential care service allows residents to enjoy life in a “home from home” environment. Our aim is to provide a friendly and safe service, which offers the flexibility of maximum independence as well as peace of mind from 24 hour expert care. We also know that visits from family and friends are incredibly important to our residents, so we offer an open visiting policy. There s no need to book an appointment, visitors are always welcome at any time.

Our dementia care service comprises of a carefully selected team of carers in each home. They have extensive training and experience that enable them to understand & empathise the needs of those living with dementia.

We care for our dementia residents as individuals. We develop a personalised care plan and respect the uniqueness of each person. We look to work closely with help from residents, family and friends to develop a care plan that can be used daily and help maintain the identity and dignity of the person as the dementia progresses.

Day care & respite care offers non residents the chance to stay in one of our homes for a short period of time. Carers can use our homes as a safe and happy alternative to provide their loved one with temporary loving care, be it for a day, a night or longer.

Working closely with the residents and family members our dedicated activities teams are continuously putting together great programmes which are enjoyed by all. As well as indoor activities, many outdoor activities are organised, at the home and outside the home. Days out include shopping trips, picnics, and beach trips.

General activities are carefully chosen to provide emotional, physical and social benefits. No two days are the same; we make sure that our residents get a different experience each day to keep them stimulated and happy.

We make sure that you have plenty of practical support, but as well as that we’re here for emotional support as well. Moving a loved one into residential care is life changing for everyone involved, it takes time getting used to, we work doubly hard to give you the support and peace of mind you need.

You will have many concerns which can weigh heavily on your mind; we’re always here to talk through anything that you’re not sure about. It may help if your loved one comes to day care or for a short stay first, this way they can get to know people, meet the team and get to know the home before moving in.
