I INTRODUCTIONCustomer’s ResponsibilityThe Customer/Operator is responsible to per-form the necessary safety checks to ensure thatlubrication, cooling, maintenance and recom-mended practices are strictly followed for safe,enjoyable operation.All Transmission units are covered by a limitedwarranty.Therefore:In respect to the handling of the transmissionunits the instructions stated in this manual areto be strictly followed.

CAUTIONThe manufacturer is not liable for any damagesor losses caused by faulty installation, wronghandling of the equipment and/or deficientmaintenance.The Customer has to make sure, that any ex-ternal forces, as well as vibration caused bytorsion and bending, are avoided.The interaction between engine, shaft and pro-peller may lead to torsional vibration, produc-ing a hammering noise of gears and might dam-age the engine and/or transmission.The Supplier is not liable for such torsional vi-bration inherent to the installation.

ATTENZIONEIl produttore non è responsabile per qualsiasidanno o perdita causati da errate installazioni,uso sbagliato dell’attrezzatura e insufficientemanutenzione. Il Cliente si deve assicurare chenon siano presenti alcune forze esterne comevibrazioni torsionali, causate da torsione e daflessione.L’interazione tra motore, albero ed elica puòportare a vibrazioni torsionali producendo unmartellante rumore degli ingranaggi con la pos-sibilità di danneggiare il motore e/o l’invertitore.Il Costruttore non è responsabile di tali vibra-zioni torsionali inerenti all’installazione.

Toutes les transmissions sontcouvertes par une garantie.Par conséquent:Les instructions contenues dans le présentmanuel doivent être strictement observéespour manipuler les transmissions.

ATTENTIONLe fabricant ne saurait être tenu pour respon-sable des détériorations dûes à une mauvaiseinstallation, une manipulation incorrecte et unentretien insuffisant.Le client doit s’assurer que des efforts exces-sifs tels que les vibrations causées par torsionet alignement défectueux soient évitées. L’in-teraction entre le moteur, la ligne d’arbre et l’hé-lice peut conduire à des vibrations de torsionprovoquant le martèlement des engrenages etrisquant de détériorer le moteur et/ou la trans-mission. Le fournisseur ne saurait étre tenupour responsable des dites vibrations de tor-sion inhérentes à l’installation.

ATENCIÓNEl fabricante no se hace responsable de losdaños o las pérdidas derivadas de una malainstalacíon, empleo incorrecto del equipo einsuficiente mantenimiento del mismo.El Cliente debe verificar que no haya ningúntipo de fuerza externa ni vibracionestorsionales, causadas por torsión o flexión.La interacción entre motor, eje de cola y hélicepuede ocasionar vibraciones torsionalesproduciendo un ruido constante de losengranajes que puede dañar el motor y/o elinversor.El Fabricante no se hace responsable dedichas vibraciones torsionales inherentes a lainstalación.

III RÉSUMÉ DESCRIPTIF

Les inverseurs marins ZF M sont des trans-mission à engrenages cylindriques, comman-dées par un mécanisme automatique.Elle se distinguent par leur robustesse et leurgrande fiabilité. Néanmoins, il est fortement re-commandé de faire leur installation dans lerespect absolu des directive figurant dans cepetit manuel et de suivre étroitement les con-signes relatives à leur maniement et leur en-tretien. La non-observation de ces régles outoute modification opérée sur l’inverseur en-traînera la déchéance de la garantie du cons-tructeur.

Sur demande, le constructeur vous fournira unmanuel d’entretien.

Gli invertitori marini ZF M sono delle trasmis-sioni ad ingranaggi elicoidali comandate da unmeccanismo automatico.Essi si distinguono per la loro robustezza e af-fidabilità. Nondimeno si raccomanda che sia-no scrupolosamente osservate le seguentiistruzioni per l’installazione, l’uso e la manu-tenzione.Il non osservare le istruzioni contenute in que-sto manuale o ogni modifica all’invertitore nonautorizzata, preclude la validità della garanzia.

Su richiesta il costruttore può fornire il manua-le di riparazione.

III BRIEF DESCRIPTION

ZF M boat reversing gearbox units are auto-matically controlled helical gear transmissions.They are of sturdy construction and utmost re-liability. Nevertheless the user should make apoint of observing the following instructions forinstallation, operation and maintenance.Failure to do so, or unauthorized changes inthe transmission, will preclude all and any war-ranty claims.

A Service Manual is available from the manu-facturer.

III KURZBESCHREIBUNG

Die Bootsswendegetriebe ZF M sind automa-tisch schaltbare Stirnradgetriebe.Sie sind robust und zuverlässig. Trotzdem ver-langen sie, daß der Einbau gemäß dieser An-leitung erfolgt und daß der Benutzer die Vor-schriften für Bedienung und Wartung einhält.Bei Nichtbeachtung besteht kein Garantiean-spruch.

Service-Handbuch vom Hersteller zu beziehen.

III INFORMACIONES GENERALES

Los inversores marinos ZF M son transmisio-nes de engranajes helicoidales comandadaspor un mecanismo automático.Estos se distinguen por su robustez y fiabilidad.Aún así aconsejamos que se observen escru-pulosamente las siguientes instrucciones parala instalación, el uso y el mantenimiento.El incumplimiento de las instrucciones conte-nidas en este manual o toda modificación alinversor no autorizada, quita toda validez a lagarantía.

Bajo pedido el fabricante puede suministrar elmanual de reparación.

III GENERELL INFORMASJON

IV OPERATION

1. All ZF transmissions have been submittedto a test run before shipment.During normal operation, the transmissionshould only be shifted with the engine atidle speed. In emergency cases it is alsoadmissible to shift at higher speeds.Visual checks for leakage should be madefrom time to time.

WARNING. Work on the transmission mustonly be performed with the engine and propel-ler at standstill.

CAUTION. Before the first start-up, the trans-mission must be filled with transmission fluid.

CAUTION. Using the transmission with an in-sufficient oil level will damage the gears. Anexcessive oil level may cause leakage at theshaft seals and the transmission breather, andraise the operating temperature considerably.

2. Boat sailing, movingin tow or anchoring

When the engine is off, and the boat sails,moves in tow or is anchored, the propeller mayturn with the water current.

IV FUNZIONAMENTO

1. Tutte le trasmissioni subiscono un test dicollaudo prima della spedizione.In normali condizioni di funzionamento èconsentita l’inversione di marcia solo quan-do il motore è al minimo dei giri. In casi diemergenza è comunque consentita l’inver-sione anche a giri più alti.Controllare di tanto in tanto visivamente lapresenza di eventuali perdite di olio.

PERICOLO. Intervenire sull’invertitore soloquando sia il motore che l’elica sono fermi.

ATTENZIONE. Al momento del primo avvia-mento la trasmissione deve essere riempita conil previsto olio idraulico.

ATTENZIONE. L’uso dell’invertitore con unainsufficiente quantità di fluido danneggia gli in-granaggi. Una eccessiva quantità di olio puòcausare perdite alle guarnizioni di tenuta e allosfiato e può far aumentare considerevolmentela temperatura di funzionamento.

2. Navigazione a vela, rimorchio oancoraggio

Quando il motore è spento e l’imbarcazionenaviga a vela, è rimorchiata o si trova ancorata,l’elica può ruotare per effetto della corrente.

IV FONCTIONNEMENT

1. Toutes les transmissions ZF ont fait l’objetd’essai avant l’expédition.En utilisation normale, la transmission doitêtre enclenchée avec le moteur fonction-nant au ralenti. En cas d’urgence, il estaussi possible d’inverser à des régimesélevés.Vérifier visuellement les fuites d’huile detemps en temps.

DANGER. Le travail sur la transmission doitêtre pratiqué avec le moteur et la transmissionà l’arrêt.

ATTENTION. Avant la première mise en route,la transmission doit être remplie avec du fluidede transmission.

ATTENTION. Utiliser la transmission avec unniveau d’huile insuffisant pourrait endomma-ger les engrenages. Un niveau d'huile exces-sif peut causer des fuites au niveau des ba-gues d'étanchéité et du reniflard, et augmen-ter considérablement la température en fonc-tionnement.

2. Déplacement marche a voile, enremorque ou à quai

Quand le moteur ne fonctionne pas, en mar-che a voile, en remorque ou à quai, il est pos-sible que l'hélice continue à tourner compte-tenu du courant.

IV FUNCIONAMIENTO

1. Todas las transmisiones pasan una pruebafinal de funcionamiento antes del envío.En condiciones normales de funcionamientoestá permitida la inversión de marcha sólocuando el motor se encuentra al ralentí.De todas formas, en caso de emergenciaestá permitida la inversión también arevoluciones más altas.Controlar visualmente, de vez en cuando,la presencia de eventuales pérdidas deaceite.

PELIGRO. Intervenir en el inversor solamentecuando el motor y la hélice se encuentranparados.

ATENCIÓN. En el momento de la puesta enmarcha la transmisión se debe llenar con elaceite hidráulico indicado.

ATENCIÓN. El uso del inversor con unacantidad insuficiente de aceite dañará losengranajes. Una cantidad excesiva de aceitepuede causar pérdidas a los retenes de los ejesy el respiradero y puede hacer aumentarconsiderablemente la temperatura defuncionamiento.

2. Navegación a vela, remolque o anclajeCuando el motor está apagado y la embarca-ción navega a vela, es remolcada o se encuen-tra anclada, la hélice puede girar por efecto dela corriente.

IV BETJENING

OBS! Før giret tas i bruk, må man fylle på gir-olje.

OBS! Brukes giret med for lav oljestand, re-sulterer det i skader på giret. For høy oljestandkan forårsake lekkasjer på tetningene og gjen-nom lufteåpningen og samtøke drifts-temperaturen betraktelig. Vi anbefaler bruk avtemperaturføler.

2. Seiling, sleping eller ankringNår motoren er av og båten seiler, slepes ellerer ankret opp, kan propellen rotere med vann-strømmen.

IV BEDIENUNG

1. Bei allen ZF-Getrieben wird vor Ausliefe-rung ein Prüflauf durchgeführt.Das Getriebe sollte im Normalbetrieb nurbei Motor-Leerlaufdrehzahl geschaltet wer-den. In Notsituationen sind auch Schaltun-gen bei höhreren Drehzahlen zulässig.Sichtprüfungen auf undichte Stellen soll-ten von Zeit zu Zeit durchgeführt werden.

WARNUNG. Arbeiten am Getriebe und Pro-peller dürfen nur durchgeführt werden, wennGetriebe und Propeller stillstehen.

ACHTUNG. Vor Inbetriebnahme des Getriebesmuß Getriebeöl eingefüllt werden.

ACHTUNG. Das Betreiben des Getriebes mitzu niedrigem Ölstand führt zu Getriebeschä-den. Das Betreiben des Getriebes mit über-höhtem Ölstand kann Lecks an den Dichtun-gen und der Entlüftungsöffnung verursachenund die Betriebstemperatur erheblich steigern.Wir empfehlen in jedem Fall die Verwendungeines Temperaturfühlers.

2. Schleppen Segelfahrt,oder Ankern

Wenn der Motor abgeschaltet ist, wird das Bootin Segelfahrt geschleppt oder verankert, kannsich der Propeller durch die Wasserströmungdrehen.

PERICOLO. Quando il motore gira al minimoe si desidera che l’elica non giri (per esempiose si deve caricare la batteria con la barca fer-ma), la leva di comando deve trovarsi in posi-zione neutrale N (vedere fig. 2).

ATTENTION. Avec l’arbre d’hélice en marcheà vide, le levier de commande doit être dans laposition «O». Utilisez la position de commandecontraire à la direction de course pour bloquerl’arbre de l’hélice, pour éviter un endommage-ment de la transmission.

WARNUNG. Wenn der Motor im Leerlauf läuftund die Propellerwelle aber nicht angetriebenwerden soll (z.B. beim Aufladen der Batteriedurch den Generator), muß der Schalthebel(Bild 2) in der neutralen Position (N) gehaltenwerden, da das Boot sich sonst bewegt.

3. Gear shift operation (Fig. 3 and 3a)

CAUTION. Make certain that control rodor cable is easily movable.

3.1 Lever travel: ZF 5 M - 10 M - 12 M - 15 M- 15 MA - 15 MIV - 25 M - 25 MA - 30 M.Minimum travel of gear shift lever (O-A=O-B) must be 35 mm (1.3/8") for outer pivotpoint and 30 mm (1.3/16") for inner pivotpoint.ZF 4-1 MTravel of gear shift lever (O-A=O-B) mustbe 38,5±1,5 mm (1.52 in ± 0.06 in) for outerpivot point and 33,5±1,5 mm, (1.32 in ± 0.06in) for inner pivot point, from neutral posi-tion. When the lever pass over the angleof 10°-12°, it starts to move outsideperpendiculary and stops when the travelis completed (angle of 40°).

3.2 Lever position: In neutral position perpen-dicular to control rod or cable. Gear shiftlever can be fixed in any position by meansof clamping screw. Minimum distance be-tween gear shift lever and cover 0.5 mm(0.02"). Opening or loosening of cover re-quires renewed adjustment (by specializedpersonnel only).

3.3 Regular checks are required to ensure thestrict observance of item 3.1 and 3.2.

3. Système de commande (Fig. 3 et 3a)

3.2 Orientation du levier de commande. Enposition neutre, le levier doit être perpendi-culaire aux tringles ou au câble. La facilitéde mouvement du levier peut être réglée àvolonté, à l’aide d’une vis de serrage. Res-pecter une distance minimale de 0,5 mmentre le levier et le couvercle de commande.Après démontage et remontage de ce cou-vercle, faire procéder à un nouveau réglage(à effectuer par des spécialistes seulement).

3.3 Contròle: Afin de conserver le bon fonc-tionnement pendant des périodes de tempsprolongées, suivre étroitement les prescrip-tions données sous 3.1 et 3.2.

3.2 Posizione della leva: In posizione di folledeve trovarsi in posizione perpendicolareal cavo di comando. La leva può essereruotata e fissata poi in qualsiasi posizionetramite la vite di serraggio. La leva si devetrovare alla distanza minima dal coperchiodi 0,5 mm. Lo smontaggio, od anche il soloallentamento delle viti del coperchio, richie-de un nuovo aggiustamento dello stesso(da effettuarsi solo da personale autoriz-zato).

3.3 Controlli: Al fine di garantire il buon fun-zionamento è neces-sario controllare conregolarità la posizione della leva (paragrafi3.1 e 3.2).

3.2 Hebelstellung in Schaltstellung Null recht-winklig zu Seilzug/Gestänge. Schalthebelmit Klemmschraube beliebig einstellbar.Abstand Schalthebel/Schaltdeckel minde-stens 0,5 mm. Lösen Schaltdeckel erfor-dert erneutes Einjustieren (nur durch Fach-personal).

3.3 Kontrolle: Um langfristige Funktionsfähig-keit zu erhalten, ist strikte Einhaltung desPunktes 3.1 und 3.2 zu beachten.

3. Girskift (fig. 3 og 3a)

3.2 Girvelgerarmens stilling i nøytral posisjoner rettvinklet på styrestang/kabel. Girvelger-armen kan festes i en hvilken som helststilling med en klemskrue.Avstanden girvelgerarm/deksel må væreminst 0,5 mm. Når dekselet løsnes, kre-ves det etterjustering (kun av fagperson).

3.3 Kontroller: For å bevare den gode funk-sjonen, må punktene 3.1 og 3.2 overholdesnøye.

3.2 Posición de la palanca: En posición neu-tra se debe encontrar en posición perpen-dicular al cable de mando. La palanca sepuede girar y fijar después en cualquierposición mediante el tornillo de ajuste. Lapalanca se debe encontrar a la distanciamínima de la tapa de 0,5 mm. El desmon-taje, o aún solo el aflojamiento de los torni-llos de la tapa, requieren un nuevo ajustede los mismos (que debe efectuar sólo elpersonal autorizado).

3.3 Controles: A fin de garantizar el buen fun-cionamiento es necesario controlar con re-gularidad la posición de la palanca (párra-fos 3.1 y 3.2).

V ENTRETIEN

Les boites sortent des usines ZF-HURTHMARINE sans la charge d’huile

2.1 Qualité: Automatic Transmission Fluid(ATF).

2.2 Quantité/niveau d’huile: voir Fig. 6.2.3 Vidanges: La première vidange s’effec-

tuera après 25 heures de service, envi-ron. A la suite, faire la vidange au moinsune fois par an.

2.4 La température normale de service del’huile de la transmission doit être compriseentre 50°C (122°F) et 80°C (176°F). Il estpermis d’atteindre la température maximumadmissible pour l’huile ATF de 100°C(212°F) que pour une brève période.

ADVARSEL! Vedlikeholdsarbeider på giret måkun utføres mens motoren står stille. Ha alltidhansker på når du arbeider på et varmt gir.Oljestanden kan kontrolleres i varm eller kaldtilstand.MERK: Kontroller oljestanden før oppstart.

Giret leveres fra ZF-HURTH MARINE utenoljefylling

2.1 Oljetyper: Automatic Transmission Fluid(ATF).

2.2 Oljemengde/oljestand: Fig. 62.3 Oljeskift: Første gang etter ca. 25 drifts-

timer, deretter minst en gang i året.2.4 Normal driftstemperatur for giret skal ligge

mellom 50° C (120° F) og 80° C (176° F).Maks.tillatte ATF oljetemperatur på 100°C (212° F) skal kun oppnås for kort tid.

VII INSTALLATION

7.1 Inclined position: Inclination of transmis-sion in direction of shaft should not exceedan angle of 20˚ in continuous operation.Permissible lateral inclination obtainablefrom manufacturer on inquiry.

7.2 Couplings: Torsionally elastic couplingwith min 0.5 mm (0.02") radial clearance,required on engine side; flexible elasticcoupling recommended on propeller side.

7.3 Engine-transmission connection: Forpermissible radial and face runout see Fig.4.

7.4 Transmissible-propeller shaft connec-tion: See Fig. 7 and 7a.

VII MONTAGE

7.1 Inclinaison: Veiller à ce que, en servicecontinu, l’inclinaison de la boîte sur l’ar-bre ne dépasse pas 20 degrés. Quant àl’inclinaison latérale admissible, prière decontacter le constructeur.

7.2 Accouplements: Du côté moteur -obliga-toire: accouplement élastique à la torsionprésentant un écart radial minimum de 0,5mm; du côté hélice-recommandé: accou-plement élastique à la flexion.

7.3 Raccordement moteur-boîte: Pour lesvoilures admissibles en directions radialeet axiale, voir Fig. 4.

VII INSTALLAZIONE

7.1 Posizione inclinata: La posizione dellatrasmissione, rispetto all’albero di entra-ta, non deve eccedere di un angolo di 20˚,in servizio continuo. Per quanto riguardal’inclinazione laterale permessa contatta-re il costruttore.

7.2 Giunto elastico: Tra motore e invertitoreè necessario montare un giunto di accop-piamento elastico con gioco radiale mini-mo (0.5 mm); tra invertitore ed asse elica,è raccomandato un accoppiamento congiunto flessibile.

7.3 Accoppiamento motore-trasmissione:Per giochi di montaggio radiali ed assialifare riferimento alla Fig. 4.

VII INSTALACIÓN

7.1 Posición inclinada: La posición de latransmisión, con respecto al árbol de en-trada, no debe exceder un ángulo de 20°,en servicio continuo. Para lo que se refie-re a la inclinación lateral permitida con-tactar al fabricante.

7.2 Junta elástica: Entre motor e inversor esnecesario montar una junta de unión elás-tica con juego radial mínimo (0.5 mm);entre inversor y eje hélice, aconsejamosuna unión con junta flexible.

7.3 Acoplamiento motor-transmisión: Paralos juegos de montaje radial y axial tomarcomo referencia la Fig. 4.

7.4 Acoplamiento transmisión - eje de hé-lice: Véase Fig. 7 y 7a.

VII MONTERING

7.1 Skråstilling: Girets helning i retning av ak-selen må ikke overskride en vinkel på 20°ved kontinuerlig drift. Tillatt sidehelning fåsved forespørsel hos produsenten.

7.2 Koblinger: Vrielastisk kobling med radialfrigang (minst 0,5 mm) er nødvendig påmotorsiden. Bøyeelastisk kobling anbefa-les på propellsiden.

7.3 Motor-gir-forbindelse: Tillatt radial- ogplanavvik, se fig. 4.

VIII WARRANTYStandard Warranty

ZF-HURTH MARINE warrants its type ZF MReversing Marine Transmission to be free fromdefects in material and work-manship undernormal use and maintenance, provided that thiswarranty shall apply if, and only if, the equip-ment has been properly installed and operated.The obligation of ZF-HURTH MARINE underthis warranty shall be limited to the replace-ment or repair, at its choice, of any part or partsfound to be defective by ZF-HURTH MARINEupon its examination of same, provided thatthe part or parts are returned to the nearestofficial ZF-HURTH MARINE distributor, freightprepaid, within the time:

Twenty-four (24) months from date of commis-sioning or thirty-six (36) months from date ofdelivery to engine manufacturer, whicheveroccurs first.

The obligations of ZF-HURTH MARINE underthis warranty as set forth herein shall also besubject to compliance by the distributor or en-gine manufacturer who has purchased theproduct with the Warranty Procedures whichis made a part of this warranty.All warranties shall run to distributors and en-gine manufacturers who have purchased thetype ZF M Reversing Marine Transmission.This warranty shall not apply to any part or partswhich have been repaired or altered, withoutthe prior written consent of an official ZF-HURTH MARINE dealer.

Ces éléments doivent êtrerenvoyés au distributeur officiel ZF-HURTHMARINE plus proche, en porte payé, dans undélai limité à:

Vingt-quatre (24) mois à partir de mise en ser-vice ou trente-six (36) mois à partir de la datede livraison chez le fabricant de moteurs, quece soit l’une ou l’autre des actions qui se passeen premier.

Estagarantía es válida sólo si la instalación se harealizado correctamente y la transmisión se hautilizado de manera correcta.ZF-HURTH MARINE se compromete con estagarantía a la sustitución o a la reparación, a suelección, de la parte o de las partesreconocidas como defectuosas por ZF-HURTH MARINE, después de haberlasexaminado, a condición de que la parte o laspartes se entreguen al distribuidor oficial ZF-HURTH MARINE más cercano, con los gastosde transporte pre-pagados, dentro de:

Veinticuatro (24) meses a partir de la fechainstalación o treintaseis (36) meses desde lafecha de expedición al fabricante de motores,lo que de suceda pimero.

ZF-HURTH MARINE´s forpliktelser underdenne garantien gjelder med forbehold om atforhandleren eller motorprodusenten, som harkjøpt produktet, har oppfylt garantiprosedyrene,som utgjør en del av denne kontrakten.Samtlige garantikrav skal forelegges for for-handlerne og motorprodusentene, som harkjøpt giret. Die Verpflich-tung von ZF-HURTH MARINE im Rahmen die-ser Gewährleistung ist nach eigenem Ermes-sen auf den Austausch oder die Instandsetzungsämtlicher Teile beschränkt, die von ZF-HURTH MARINE bei deren Untersuchung alsmangelhaft festgestellt wurden, sofern das bzw.die Teile an den nächsten autorisierten Händ-ler von ZF-HURTH MARINE, Fracht bezahlt,fristgerecht zurückgegeben wurden:

Vierundzwanzig (24) Monate ab dem Auftrags-datum bzw. sechsunddreißig (36) Monate abdem Inbetriebnahme Datum an den Motoren-hersteller, was jeweils zuerst Eintritt.

Standard WarrantyZF-HURTH MARINE warrants its type ZF M Reversing Marine Transmission to be free from defects in material and work-manshipunder normal use and maintenance, provided that this warranty shall apply if, and only if, the equipment has been properlyinstalled and operated.The obligation of ZF-HURTH MARINE under this warranty shall be limited to the replacement or repair, at its choice, of any part orparts found to be defective by ZF-HURTH MARINE upon its examination of same, provided that the part or parts are returned to thenearest official ZF-HURTH MARINE distributor, freight prepaid, within the time:1. Transmission for pleasure craft…

Twenty-four (24) months from date of commissioning or thirty-six (36) months from date of delivery to engine manufacturer,whichever occurs first.

2. Transmission for commercial craft…Twelve (12) months from date of commission or twenty-four (24) months from date of delivery to engine manufacturer, whicheveroccurs first.

The obligations of ZF-HURTH MARINE under this warranty as set forth herein shall also be subject to compliance by the distributoror engine manufacturer who has purchased the product with the Warranty Procedures which is made a part of this warranty.All warranties shall run to distributors and engine manufacturers who have purchased the type ZF M Reversing Marine Transmission.This warranty shall not apply to any part or parts which have been repaired or altered, without the prior written consent of an officialZF-HURTH MARINE dealer.This warranty shall not apply if the product or any of its components or parts have been subject to misuse, abuse, negligence,alteration, or accident, or have not been operated in accordance with printed instructions of ZF-HURTH MARINE or has beenoperated under conditions more severe than, or otherwise exceeding, those set forth in the specifications for said product, or hasbeen improperly installed or reinstalled, or improperly maintained and operated.This warranty is expressly in lieu of all other warranties expresses or implied including the warranties of merchantability and fitnessfor use and of all other obligations including without limitation, consequential damages, and ZF-HURTH MARINE neither assumesnor authorizes any other person to assume for ZF-HURTH MARINE, any other liability in connection with the sale of the ZF MREVERSING MARINE TRANSMISSION. ZF-HURTH MARINE shall in no event be liable for any breach of warranty in an amountexceeding the purchase price of the ZF M REVERSING MARINE TRANSMISSION.
