We offer many employment related higher education qualifications known as Foundation degrees.

They are designed with employers to meet their needs in the workplace. Our selection of business, computing and management Foundation degrees are studied in part-time hours so you can get a full degree while you continue with your job.

This means after two years you could gain a Foundation degree and then top-up to full Honours degree in athird year.

Students who studied with us say the course has really developed their business acumen, which has led to promotion, improved their performance in meetings and helped them grow in confidence.

Our adult students have managed to go to work while studying their degree and juggling family commitments to achieve their goals – it’s a tough call but rewarding when you graduate.

A full Honours degree in three years...

alongside your job!

Page 47: Warwickshire College part-time guide (September-December 2014)

W: warwickshire.ac.uk/coursefinder | E: [email protected] | Some fees are approximate and subject to change.

For more information on fees, please see page 46

Paying by InstalmentsFor government funded courses of one term or more in duration, with fees in excess of £100, arrangements can be made to pay in monthly instalments over three months. There is an administration charge of £10 for this facility. The instalment option is not available to courses that are not government funded.

Employer SponsorshipIf an employer wishes to sponsor employees to study, there is an option for invoices to be raised. At the time of enrolment, please supply a purchase order or letter of authorisation stating the name of the employee, title of course and confirmation of the employer’s intention to pay fees due.

Higher Education TuitionFee LoansYou can get a Tuition Fee Loan to cover the cost of your tuition, which you start to pay back only when you are earning over £21,000 a year – so you don’t pay anything upfront.

» You start to pay back your Tuition Fee Loan only when you are earning over £21,000 a year

» You repay 9% of your income above £21,000. So, for example, if your salary was £25,000, the 9% would apply only to £4,000, meaning you would repay £30 per month

» If your salary falls below £21,000, your repayments stop – for example if you take a career break or are unemployed. Repayments restart only when you earn over £21,000

» Loan repayments will be deducted from your salary, normally through the tax system

» If you have not repaid your loan after 30 years then it is written off

Visit www.direct.gov.uk/studentfinancefor more details.

Students Aged 16–18 YearsStudents aged 16–18, currently on government funded full-time courses, are generally not eligible for further fee remissions, as the funding already provided is intended to cover the whole of their learning programmes. However, students on low household income can apply for the Bursary Support Fund for help with course materials, fees, transport, childcare and more.

RefundsRefunds will be made in the following circumstances:

» The course is cancelled due to insufficient numbers

» The course you are interested in is over-subscribed

If you choose not to complete a course running for one term or less, no refunds are given.

Fees quoted are applicable to home students (generally European Union residents) only as determined eligible by the Skills Funding Agency (SFA).
