Attention Past & Present Livestock Show Participants If you are planning on showing livestock please go

onto your https://mn.4honline.com account and

update your project areas to include any animal

species you are showing. This will help you receive

important ID and fair livestock information.

If you are NOT bringing livestock please remove the

animal species from your project area. This will help

our 4-H Federation save on postage.

Are you interested in Agronomy? Fair Project Idea

Have you ever wanted to know more about the crops

in your area? Do you wonder how plants react to

different environments? How do roots grow?

If so, Sue has a new Minnesota 4-H Agronomy project

handbook to share with you!

Below are some ideas related to Agronomy and if you

would like to try any of them contact Sue at

[email protected] for more details:

3-5 one gallon buckets- 1 field corn, 1 sweet corn, 1 popcorn

2-5 one gallon buckets-Same corn in both but change up growing conditions for each bucket

Weeds & Pests (careful-check for transporting rules)

If you would like to sign-up for a starter kit ($5) let

Sue know before April 15. Members who purchase

starter kits are expected to bring the project they

create to the county fair this summer.

Animal ID Deadline for Market Beef & Dairy Steers February 15, 2019

Start planning ahead for the ID deadline in February.

Office hours 9-5 p.m., M-F to pick up tags. Complete

your ID process online by 11:59 pm February 15. No

exceptions.
