A MESSAGE FROM SENIOR PASTOR KEVIN ALLEN
It’s a new baby!
Introducing Brantley Brock Rednour, born 8/3/15 at 1:09 pm at Williamson Medical Center.
He weighed 9 pounds 15 ounces and was 21 inches long. Brantley is the second child for Damien and Kimberly, their daughter Adalynn is now a proud big sister! Please congratulate the Rednour family on this precious baby boy.
“Behold, children are a gift of the LORD, The fruit of the womb is a reward.” Psalms 127:3

AUGUST FAMILY SPOTLIGHTBy: Chassidy Allen
WHAT HAVE YOU DONE FOR ME LATELY
I recently took my girls out for dinner and a time of shopping. We enjoyed a great meal at one of our favorite restaurants and purchased some things they had been wanting. Dad was the hero! They thanked me for a good evening and for their things we had purchased. On the ride home,
suddenly the tide turned when I informed them that when we got home, they had to pick up their rooms and clean up the bonus room because we had company coming over. I went from the hero to
the overlord who placed the gruesome burden of an unwanted task upon them. How did my sweet girls go from thankfulness to grumps so quickly? I could hear that old 80’s tune playing in my mind… “What have
you done for me lately?”
I got to thinking about this again today and how we often feel about God. Have you ever been part of a meeting where everyone else is telling about how God has supplied for their needs and miraculously answered prayer? This can make a lot of us pretty grumpy about God because it seems like He doesn’t do much for us. Especially when we still have long-awaited, unanswered prayers on our lists and unfulfilled expectations that seemingly have gone unnoticed while He has been busy blessing others. We must be careful. This kind of spiritual grumpiness will make you ungrateful, unworshipful, and unthankful.
So, for all of us who tend to be down on God for His lack of living up to our expectations, let me help you out of your grumpiness with a reminder of how wonderfully good He is to you every day. If He never does anything else but save your soul from hell and guarantee you a home with Him in heaven, He has already done far more than you or I deserve and enough to keep us grateful to Him for the rest of our lives. But there’s more, He promised to never leave us or forsake us. He promised new mercies every morning. He even promised to never place more on us than we can bear. And best of all, He promised to come back for us and let us spend eternity with Him. What more could we possible ask for?
Every October, over 2,000 people visit Murfreesboro for the Middle Half Marathon. Voted Murfreesboro’s “Favorite Annual Event” by readers of The Daily News Journal, “The Middle Half” is anticipated by runners and fans alike. In 9 years, the race has more than tripled in size to become one of the top half marathons in Tennessee, previously winning the Tennessee Parks & Recreation Four Star Program Award. As many of our TPOM family know, there are several in the church, including our own Pastor, who run on a regular basis. Running is not only a way to stay healthy and exercise but it is also a fun way to stay connected with friends. Nothing is more thrilling than finishing a race that you have been training for. Well this year we have quite a few from TPOM who are running the Middle Half and for several of them, this is their first half marathon. A half marathon is 13.1 miles and a full marathon is 26.2. Completing either of these races is an amazing feat and this year we wanted to do something special for our TPOM runners.
We have been approved to be an official cheer squad for the Middle Half! The last mile of the race goes right behind our church on Old Lascassas rd. If we have at least 12 volunteers show up and cheer for runners, the race organizers will give us $200. That money will be used to support Sheaves for Christ. We will be standing behind the church holding signs, dressing crazy, blaring music and cheering on those runners for their last mile! Now I am sure you are asking yourself, “how can I be a part of this legendary cheer squad?” Well that answer is simple. All you need to do is see Lindsey Stephens and she will get you signed up and tell you what you need to know.
Not only will this event be fun but also a wonderful opportunity to reach out to our community and show them our support. Make plans to join us early in the morning on October 10th for the Murfreesboro Middle Half Marathon.

Darry and Kathy Crossley are currently the Regional Directors of South America and oversee the churches in the ten nations of that region. They began working in this region over 40 years ago, establishing and teaching in the Bible school programs, pastoring, and evangelizing the area.
In Columbia, the Crossley’s joined with the Missionaries and National Leadership to pray for the evangelization of this metropolitan area. With over 12 million people in Columbia, currently, there are 30 churches. The vision for Columbia is to have at least 100 Churches.
Recently, they were with the Ministers’ Congress in Venezuela where over 2000 were in attendance. Although the area is under prevalent political strife, the reality of food shortages, and basic existence is a daily grind, the Venezuelan Church is not deterred and continues to grow andthrive. At this conference, 73 ministers were ordained and 23 couples graduated from the Intensive Bible School course of studies.
God is doing great things in South America, and all over the world. Thank you TPOM for your commitment to pray and give to missions!

LAST MONTH AT TPOM
Anthem Student Ministries had a fantastic time at North American Youth Congress in Oklahoma City, OK. Our group of 29 left early Tuesday morning and headed to St. Louis, MO. We explored the City Museum and then headed over to check out the St. Louis Zoo. On Wednesday morning, we drove across the mid-west towards Oklahoma City. That night we attended the first service at NAYC and the speaker was the UPCI Youth President Michael Ensey. Each and every service that we attended going forward was dynamic. The music was highly anointed, the preaching was relevant and powerful, and the services were life changing. Many people received the baptism of the Holy Ghost including three Chesapeake Arena security staff. I was also very proud of our students; they were engaged in every service, session, and altar call at Youth Congress. If you weren’t able to attend this year’s youth congress, make plans to join us in 2017 as we travel to Indianapolis, IN for the first ever NAYC in a football stadium!

Bishop DePriest became the pastor of The Pentecostals of Murfreesboro in 1990. Because of his and Sis. Carla’s dedication and attentiveness to the will of the Lord, TPOM has seen hundreds of people come to meet Jesus and start 6 daughter work churches in the middle TN area.
Pastor Kevin accepted his call to ministry at 19 years old, serving in multiple daughter works before coming on as Pastor here in Murfreesboro. He and Chassidy became the senior pastors of TPOM in 2014 and are excited to lead an apostolic church, growing apostolic families.
