Denver FBICAAA – 2015 Spirit of Giving! We are very proud of the fact that the Denver FBICAAA Chapter is not only a Chapter of Excellence, but that we also have a strong history of service projects in our community! From the Innocence Lost Survivor Kits, the Santa Cares Holiday Stockings, and the Safely Home Blanket Project, to the volunteerism of our members in school supply, community safety, and canned food drives over the years, we have always been actively ~ and compassionately ~ involved in our community. During the final quarter of 2015 the Denver FBICAAA chose to support FOUR important community initiatives, and are happy to include those efforts in the FBINCAAA’s Spirit of Giving Campaign. The projects the Denver Chapter participated in include the following: CEC/Interact Club’s A Book for Every Child student reader program Our chapter raised money and shopped for two cases of books, which we boxed up and delivered in support of this local high school initiative, providing books for those student to present to younger middle and elementary schools kids in an effort to encourage them to read a book during the holiday break. Refreshments and fun activities were also available throughout the book distribution for families to enjoy.

The projects the Denver Chapter participated in include the following:

CEC/Interact Club’s A Book for Every Child student reader program – Our chapter raised money and shopped for two cases of books, which we boxed up and delivered in support of this local high school initiative, providing books for those student to present to younger middle and elementary schools kids in an effort to encourage them to read a book during the holiday break.  Refreshments and fun activities were also available throughout the book distribution for families to enjoy.

COPS FIGHTING CANCER’S 13th Annual Long Blue Line Toy Drive – In support of our community’s most vulnerable citizens, the Denver Chapter worked with Cops Fighting Cancer on their annual Toy Drive for the young patients at Children’s Hospital.  Alumni donated items and funds in support of this event, securing $1,200.00 worth of toys, books and games for the officers to present to the children. Our volunteers also shopped for the toys, boxed them up and were on-site for the Toy Run, serving coffee and donuts to members of the law enforcement community to thank them for their service.   It was a remarkable, rewarding experience that truly captured the spirit of the season and kindness in action!

COATS FOR COLORADO

The Denver FBICAAA participated in the annual Coats for Colorado campaign - donating, gathering and sorting coats contributed to benefit Denver’s families in need and the homeless. We filled six large boxes as part of the partnership with 7News and Dependable Cleaners to support this worthwhile and high-profile cause!

A special THANK YOU for all those that contributed and helped with drop-offs and public distributions.

Together we ARE making a difference!

Aurora Angels’ RANDOM ACT OF KINDNESS Campaign honoring the Aurora Police Department – Our chapter partnered with this local community group to assemble “Survival Kits for First Responders” that were given to the Aurora Police Department on December 19th.  We also assembled kits for the First Responders participating in the Long Blue Line Toy Drive (noted above) and will distribute kits to our local FBI Agents on December 22 to encourage them and to thank them for their service.
