Tirana Beer

Terra Sancta Trading is a family-owned business founded in Florida. We are committed to sharing the revival of the ancient wine and spirit making traditions of the inhabitants of the Holy Land with all those who appreciate the ancient cultures and traditions of the Eastern Mediterranean in general, and the Holy Land in particular. We invite you to drink the Holy Land. – Saha! (Good Health)

Wine making has existed in the Holy Land since biblical times. It has played a significant role in the region with images of grapes growing and harvesting; often being used to illustrate religious ideals. The strategic EasternMediterranean location placed beer, wine and spirits of the region at the heart of global trading routes.

Arak is an alcoholic spirit of Palestine, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria. The word arak comes from an Arabic word meaning “sweat”. It’s clear in color, but milky when mixed with water. It has a smooth, refreshing taste of licorice and peppermint. It’s 100-proof distillate of late-fall golden grapes mixed with aniseed. People drink arak with a traditionally leisurely three or four-hour meal with mezza. Also, it aids in digestion.

Arak Masada

Certified Kosher Certified Kosher Certified Kosher

Arak Masada, a distillery, makes three types of arak products according toLebanese legacy: Jabalna, Kafroun and Al Wadi. Masada selects the finest

white juice-filled grapes, which is ideal for the making of arak.

In September, the grapes are hand-harvested and mechanically destemmedand gently crushed in a mechanized press to obtain the best juice. The onsiteoenologist conducts a fermentation for 15 days. After period of rest, the whitewine is put into a traditional lid copper stills for distillation. The heat for the

slow distillation process is ensured by gentle vine and wood embers.

Through a cooling device, the alcoholic vapors migrate through the copperpipe and then condenses and drips into a vat. The first distillation creates thegift of alcohol, the second removes impurities and leaves the “heart” of thealcohol, while the third give the arak its purity and distinction. We combine thethird distillation with the maceration of the best organic aniseed.

Cremisan Wine

The Cremisan Wine Estate was founded in 1885 and has been managed by the Salesians since 1891, when the Congregation of Don Bosco started its work in Palestine. Cremisan promotes the value of dialogue and respect for diversity. The proceeds of sales of this wine

support the educational and charitable work of the Salesians of the Holy Land.

The vines are cultivated without pesticides or chemicals and pruned and picked by hand. Cremisan combines classical Italian methods of wine-making to produce a range of fine and distinctive table wines. The grapes are vintaged from three Religious communities vineyards; one is located on the plain by the Mediterranean sea, the second one is on the Palestinian coast above sea level and the third is on the Judean mountains. These grapes turn out to become the red, white, sweet, dry, sparkling wine and natural wine distillates.

From vintage to sale, all processing works are done in the convent at Cremian under the direct control of their expert and specialized Salesian Brothers. The wines stand out for their natural, agreeable and full-bodied relishing flavour.

Birra Tirana

Birra Tirana (English: Tirana Beer) is brewed by Albania’s largest brewery Birra Malto in the capital city of Tirana. The brewery, Birra Tirana, was first produced in 1961 by the Kombinati Ushqimor (a state agency). The slogan for Birra Tirana, “Preke Verën!”,

translates to “Summer Effect”.

Birra Tirana is a delicate golden lager, with a very subtle malty finish. With only 4% alcohol by volume, it contains a lower level of alcohol than most of the other beers.
