Scientific and manufacturing firm "Prodecologia" was founded in July 1993. During its existence, the company has become a leader in the CIS and Eastern Europe in the field of designing and manufacturing of magnetic, electrostatic, eddy current separators, metal detectors and magnetic mud clarifiers.

The company's products are delivered to 30 countries, to the companies of specialized branches and 58 sub-sectors for the purpose of: extractions of metals from wastes of electrical cable, electronic and radio engineering, PCBS; separation of mixtures of polymers; enrichment of metallic and non-metallic materials; separation of metallurgical production slags, hard industrial and domestic wastes; preventing of metallic impurities contact with food products during the production process; protection technological equipment from damage; enhancing of porcelain whiteness; improving the quality of tires, chipboard, cement, refractories, glass; industrial water purification.

Electrostatic separators type EBS production of SMF "Prodecologia" are certificated on the territory of European Union in accordance to Directives 2 0 0 6 / 4 2 / Е С , 2 0 0 4 / 9 5 / Е С , 2006/108/ЕС.

Separators can be additionally equipped with feeding and draining screws, frame under the separator, operating platform for maintenance, feeding hopper of different volumes.

On state of 01.10.2016 the company received 96 patents for inventions and utility models in Ukraine, Russia, Belarus and Poland.

A new company business line is design, manufacture and supply of "turnkey" integrated lines for recycling of electronic boards, WEEE, cullet, solid industrial and domestic waste, etc.

In 2007 a certificate of scientific discovery was received.

The company is licensed to design, construction, installation and com-missioning.

The product is separated into the components, depending on electroconductivity in the combined field of corona discharge with the electrostatic field.

The initial product is fed on the receiving electrode (drum), which rotates and is under a positive potential.

In interelectrode space all particles are charged with negative ions of air. Conductive particles going out from the zone of corona digit, are recharged, accept the sign of charge of receiving electrode and are pushed off from it.

Deflecting electrode, having the same potential as corona electrode, creates an uneven field, assists an earlier deviation of conductive fraction from receiving electrode and increasing the efficiency of the separation on the conducting and non-conducting products. Non-conductive particles having negative charge are held on the drum and are removed by cleaning roller.

Intended for the dry high-efficiency separation of materials, that differ in electric properties:

- mixtures of plastics and metals, including shredded cables, into metal (copper, aluminium), and non-conducting material (plastic);

- mixtures of different materials upon condition that one of the components has conducting characteristics (extraction of textile cord from rubber crumb in the processing of used tires);

- shredded WEEE (including PCB’s) into metal (aluminium, copper, nickel, bronze, and other) and nonconducting material (plastic, textolite, fiber-glass plastic, and other),

and also for dry benefication:- non-metal raw material (feldspar, pegmatite,

quartz sand);- collective concentrates of deposits, composed of

minerals zirconium, ilmenite, rutile, leucoxene, staurolite, tourmaline, kyanite, quartz;

- rough concentrate of ores of rare metals (tin-tungsten, monazite), ores of precious metals (gold, silver);

- diamond-bearing raw materials.

Two-component mixture of polymers (pre-chopped, dried and classified) is fed into the hopper, then the product falls into a special trybocharge device.

In tribocharge device particles of polymers mix, due to the numerous encounters with each other and the walls of the device get positive and negative charges and then sorted out by electrostatic field on the drum separator.

In accordance to the sign of charge, particles are attracted either to the receiving electrode (rotating drum) or to the static electrode connected to the high tension feed source.

Designed for - dry separation of mixtures of polymers* by the

electrophysical properties of the components, for example: PVC + rubber (crushed window profile), PVC + PE (crushed cable insulation), PET+PVC (crushed PET bottles), ABS+PS (crushed WEEE), PP+PE (plastic bottles and caps) and other mixtures (PVC + glass, PS + PP, PS + PC, PS + SAN, ABS + SAN, ABS + PVC, PET + PP, PE + PS);

- extraction of diamonds from tailings of X-ray luminescence separation.
