Pastor Moody awarded PASTOR OF THE WEEK Pastor Moody was chosen as Radio One's "Pastor of the Week" and was
interviewed the morning of Friday, July 25 @ 9:30 a.m. by Winston
Chaney. It was a live recording and you can still listen to it on WYCB
website myspiritdc.com. He was submitted into the contest by Minister
Foster a few months ago and won “PASTOR OF THE WEEK” for July!

TEAMeffort Mission Trip to Topsail Beach NC!
July & August Birthdays!
Congratulations to the Senior Ministry on celebrating their 5 year anniversary on August 8th!

Three of our youth: Sis. Samia Ross, Bro. Justin Deloach
and Bro. Trimane Howell, two of our young adults: Sis.
Taylor Turner and Minister Terrell Glenn and two chaper-
ons: Bro. Trey Harrell and Deacon Louise Jasper went to
Topsail Beach with TEAMeffort from July 28th to August
2nd 2014 to help those that were in need. They did multi-
ple things like building a deck, painting houses, flooring,
putting up sidings and way more. We also enjoyed the
worship time, prayer times and chapel with other
churches. The group had an awesome time and we all
look forward to going back next year. We want to thank
the church for all their support and prayers as we traveled
to Topsail North Carolina.—Submitted by Sis. Taylor Turner

The snails were on board with the
cheetahs.
NINE: When you're stressed, float
awhile.
TEN: Remember, the Ark was built
by amateurs; the Titanic by profes-
sionals.
ELEVEN: No matter the storm,
when you are with God, there's al-
