The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power, and the glory, forever, Amen.
Hymn #541 God Be with You Till We Meet Again
Benediction
Exodus 33:12-23 (New Revised Standard Version)
Moses said to the Lord, “See, you have said to me, ‘Bring up this people’; but you have not let me know whom you will send with me. Yet you have said, ‘I know you by name, and you have also found favor in my sight.’ Now if I have found favor in your sight, show me your ways, so that I may know you and find favor in your sight. Consider too that this nation is your people.” He said, “My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” And he said to him, “If your presence will not go, do not carry us up from here. For how shall it be known that I have found favor in your sight, I and your people, unless you go with us? In this way, we shall be distinct, I and your people, from every people on the face of the earth.”
The Lord said to Moses, “I will do the very thing that you have asked; for you have found favor in my sight, and I know you by name.” Moses said, “Show me your glory, I pray.” And he said, “I will make all my goodness pass before you, and will proclaim be-fore you the name, ‘The Lord’; and I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy. But,” he said, “you cannot see my face; for no one shall see me and live.” And the Lord continued, “See, there is a place by me where you shall stand on the rock; and while my glory passes by I will put you in a cleft of the rock, and I will cover you with my hand until I have passed by; then I will take away my hand, and you shall see my back; but my face shall not be seen.”
Apostles’ Creed
I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord: who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suf-fered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.
October Happenings

October 25 — recorded worship and worship at camp at 11 am
October 31—Trunk or Treat/Halloween Parade 2020 at 5:00 pm. Costume parade, story-
telling, photo booth and treat bags. All ages are welcome.
We will hold our NHPC Trunk or Treat 2020 style!
This year our Trunk or Treat will be more like a Halloween parade! We will have trunks
spaced out around the parking lot for our trick or treaters to PARADE by showing off their
costumes. At the end of the parade there will be a treat bag for each of our trick or treaters
(prepared the week before and handed out with care by our volunteers). We hope you will
join us for a time of fun and fellowship!
If you are interested in providing a decorated trunk, traditional guidelines apply: come to
the church at 4:30 pm (until 4:55 pm). Decorate your trunk with NON SCARY decorations
and wear a costume. Please bring your own chair, your own mask (face mask). We will
have hand sanitizer available. Do not bring any individual candy. The CE Committee
will be creating treat bags for each trick or treater. If you would like to donate treats
for the bags please contact Mary Todd by October 18.
