Dear Class,

Welcome to the first grade! I am Mrs. O’Connor and I will be your teacher this year. I am so excited to have you in my class. I am looking forward to getting to know you when we meet in September, but since that is a few weeks away let me get started by telling you a little about myself. This is going to be my twelfth year teaching at Three Bridges. I may have even had some of your siblings. I currently live with Mr. O’Connor, my nine-year-old son, Mickey, my six-year-old son, Sean and our four-year-old daughter, Amy.

I hope you are having a great summer. This summer, Mr. O’Connor and I have spent a lot of time at the pool with Mickey, Sean and Amy. We also vacationed in Michigan. We had so much fun swimming and spending time at the beach. I have a few stories that I cannot wait to share with you about the exciting adventures my family and I had this summer.

We are going to have so much fun learning new things this year. I have many stories and fun activities to share with you. We are going to have a very exciting first week of school. We will spend a lot of time getting to know each other and all of our new friends. I cannot wait to finally meet you!
