Launched in August 2010, Paytm, a consumer brand of parent company One97 Communications gained all ears very soon. In the year 2016 on November 6, when the Prime Minister of the country declared to ban the high valued 500 and 1000 INR, cash transactions become a pain and then the one, who came to the rescue was PAYTM. Even the shop we call as 'kirana stores' started deploying methodology of cashless payment via the paytm.  Let's 1st begin how to create a PAYTM account to start off with our transactions.

Desktop Version:

1. Open your laptop or Personal Computer and search for the web-browser installed in there. We would here be using Google Chrome here (encircled in red) .You can use Internet Explorer, Firefox or any other we browser you have installed. [for opening the browser, place the mouse on the icon and fast-double click the left mouse button or right click once and select the option to 'Open'.]

2. In the Address bar of the browser, type paytm.com (or www.paytm.com ) and press 'enter' on your keyboard.

 

3. After the page gets loaded, see at the top right of the page for Login/Signup option. Click on it and the page will start to load.

 

4. Once a pop-up window opens there will be two tabs: One for Sign In and Other For Singup . If you already have an existing account you can use the credentials to Login or else you can Signup [Click on either of the two to enter the details. ]

 

5. For creating a new account, fill in the details in the Sign Up tab. You can refer the image below. Enter the details accordingly in the place of Moblie Number( you will receive an authentication OTP which will be used in next step, so use a number which is  currently active), Email ID which is optional and the Paytm Password of your choice[Do note down the password somewhere as this will be required the next time you Login].  After you are done with entering the details, click on Create Your Paytm Wallet. You will see a page asking for a new set of information.

 

6.  Enter the OTP received over the sms on your mobile number [ If in case you donot receive an OTP, click on Resend OTP ], your First Name and the Last Name and select your gender i.e. Male or Female. After filling in the details click on Create Your Paytm Wallet and you are done!

 

7. Wohhoo..!! You have successfully created your Paytm Account [ A page similar to the one shown below will be displayed . Check out for the name you used while entering the details ]

 

You can download the above in the form of file to view in offline mode.
