President’s Welcome Message
Hello fellow Sigma Kappa Sisters! My name is Tara Higgins and I have just taken over as the Delta Rho Chapter President here at James Madison University. I am definitely looking forward to this year serving as chapter president and have a lot of exciting changes to bring to the chapter. The other members of the executive board and I have been brainstorming many new ideas and I can’t wait to start putting them all into place! Our chapter has already been very busy this semester. At the FSL Awards this year, our chapter was honored with recognition as a three-star chapter and also, one of our members, Steph Heintz, was recognized as the outstanding female senior member. We have started getting ready for Greek Week, which will be held April 13-17. Greek sing will be on April 16 and we are all so excited for our theme this year – SigmaKappateria!
We have many events coming up that we are all so excited about, as well. On Saturday, April 4 we will be having a brunch in one of our Sigma Kappa houses for Alumnae Weekend. Please feel free to stop by, enjoy some food and meet our newest Sigma Kappas! Also, Kappa Alpha Rosebowl starts March 30th and Sigma Kappa is definitely going for the win this year! In addition to these events, recruitment is quickly approaching as well. Our recruitment theme has been approved and it is The Beatles: All you need is love and Sigma Kappa!
